OFFICIAL JUICING THREAD (NOT THAT TYPE OF JUICING)

Wow. This is so hard. I'm dying. First day...it's 4 pm right now. Want pizza so bad.

Okay, so for this 5 day reboot it involves making like 5 different juices a day. Do you take apart/wash the juicer and the parts after making each juice?
Are you making all your juices for the day at once? If you are feeling hungry use some raw food as snacks. Trader Joes has organic baby carrots for cheap.

Thanks. I'm just complaining a bit. I don't mind that much....i want to do it right. My gf is doing it with me as well, so between the two of us we'll stay on track. And no, we're making the juices as we need them. I heard the juices nutritional value diminishes as time goes on, so we're making, drinking, rinsing....and then like 2 hours again back in prep mode haha.
 
Going on week 4 on Tuesday.  To be honest I don't think I will never stop juicing.  I will eventually eat again but not to the same extent at all.

I havent stopped juicing since my 30 day fast. I love drinking my juices twice a day. I dont know if I can do 3 juices a day though.

Its a difficult thing to do, just focus on whatever is motivating you to do this (Weight, eating right, or to some people, stop taking medication). Just stay focus and you will get through it.

My wife and I made our juices either the night before or first thing in the morning. We made 6 juices and did not rinse. Once we were done with making our juices, we took the machine apart and washed it and got it ready for the next round.

Remember to split the shift with someone. Its hard to juice AND clean, kinda makes you want to stop juicing.

Hes juicing, when you juice you cannot eat anything. If you eat then you're really not juicing.

If hes juicing with food, then your advice is great. I like munching on carrots, apples, and mixed nuts.

You can store your juices for up to 72 hours in a GLASS MASON JAR. Will it lose nutrients? I dont know, but you cant taste a difference from a newly made to one that was made 2 days ago.

To make things easier for you guys, just make your juices for the day in the AM. Wash your machine and do it again the next day.

View media item 912154They were off the chain and tasty as ****. This has been my replacement for burgers since I began eating solids. I hardly eat red meat, if I do its extra lean like 93%. Then I wondered, I wondered how I would feel if I ate an actual Cheese burger from In N Out.

So yesterday for the first time in 4 months I had my first In N Out Burger.
View media item 916304I gotta tell you, it wasnt as good as they were before. All I tasted in my mouth was grease.

My burger was a Double Double with Extra Lettuce, Extra tomato with Whole Grilled Onions (I dont like spread).

Had a little hand full of fries and water. After eating my meal, I immediately got bubble guts. 20 minutes later I had some runs. Went to the bathroom at least 4 times between 530 and 10pm. Was the worst feeling ever. Now that I got that eating a cheeseburger feeling out the way, I can say i am done with them.

If I do decide to hit up In n Out again, I will probably go protein style. I should have done that yesterday, but again, I just wanted to see how it would go if I ate a regular burger again.

Today I drank my lemon water in the AM, had a juice, had some apple slices with my natural Peanut butter and I feel good.

My go to mix has to be (all local/organic) Spinach, Kale, flax seeds, cucumber, carrots, half orange juice half water, frozen pineapple chunks....the pineapple masks the flavor well

You can eat meats like chicken or fish, just eat real light
 
Yeah I was doing a fast, but I broke down last night. Still juicing but I'm don't have the will power to fast. Had a small chicken breast and some quinoa for dinner. Felt so happy just to have a warm meal. Juiced this morning and will juice tonight but no more fasting. Right now I'm going thru some caffeine withdrawals and it's brutal. Props to those who can fast, I'm wasn't strong enough.

There's absolutely no point in a juice fast/cleanse if you're going to just refill your body with poison as soon as your "cleanse" is over.

This is the problem with our sheep minded society. It's how anything can become a trend. The non-critical thinking mind doesn't think for itself, have the thirst for knowledge and can't logically notice the difference between the simplest of truths and the lies hidden in plain sight. I remember because I was once that. "It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled" - Mark Twain.

Reprogram your mind. Reclaim your sovereignty. Once you learn and understand what real food is, things like pizza and cheeseburgers won't even register in your brain as food because, well... It isn't food at all.

Cravings only satisfy the ego. Feeding your body exactly what it needs satisfies the mind, body and "soul".
 
Well, I tried and I failed lol. It's not for me. I went about 43 hours without food, just juices and I was hating the feeling of it. Food = life to me. Yeah, i know I sound like a fat kid. However, I'd like to list my excuses:

1. Been sick less than 1x a year
2. Never take any pills, except advil maybe once every month or two for a stress headache.
3. 115/75 blood pressure.
4. Can play hoops for 3 hours a day, 4 days a week with no problems.

Unless I go to the doctor some years from now and need to do this I'm out of the picture. Good luck to the rest of you guys. These 5 to 10 vanity pounds are much less important to me than eating delicious food. I definitely will try to add one juice a day to my foods though to supplement my improving diet.

fasting resets your body. There is nothing wrong with eating stuff but you have to do it in small amounts and fast for 3 days every now and then. Also make sure you pick quality meats and fish.. Grass feed

my grandmother & other family members have lived well into their 90's+ & they ate cheeseburgers, ate ice cream, etc....


consuming snacks IN MODERATION is worth it - if your genetics are good

some people's lousy genetics make for a scenario where they could juice or eat rice cakes all their lives yet still get cut short


sorry to be downer for all the gung-ho juicers but its true

What was your goal?

There were many times where I wanted to quit too. Just felt like say EFF THIS JUICING CRAP and give me some food. But my weight and the way I looked in pictures motivated me to stay on track. That and my wife not letting me quit. Thats why I suggested to all those that want to juice, juice with a partner (preferably someone who lives with you). This will help you and that other person stay focused on your goal.

The good thing about you is that you didnt quite juicing, you just stopped your fasting.

Caffeine withdrawals are getting better, body still aches but no more headache. Juiced this morning, salad for lunch,but damn I'm craving pizza like a pregnant lady :smh:

Times have changed my boi. The food back then didnt have as much crap in it as it does now. People actually cared what they ate and what they fed their kids.

My family hasnt had any junk food because of this juicing. I try to cook as much as I can and when we go out, we make sure to hit something healthy.

Im no longer gonna feed my kids the poison restaurants call FOOD. We done with that.
 
prune juice makes you go when you need that extra push so to speak


apricot juice also works but is expensive

i went o na mini-juicing diet

not even - juicing with solid fruits as well....



and i could produce a solid missile of a bm for anything! one of dem "wiping isn't necessary but i'll do it anyway" girthy solid missiles

all the fruit & veggies made it like almost dire-straits all the time

And how do you know this to be true? Because you read an article? Because GNC and men's fitness says you need protein and the best way to get it is from meat and dairy? I'm seriously curious as to how you came up with that and how you feel you know enough to tell who knows how many people over the internet that it's truth. That's called ignorantly irresponsible.

Those things couldn't be further from the truth. It's big business to have the current paradigm the way it is. You think they are gonna tell the Joe Shmoe 9 to 5rs What the truth is? Why would you think that? You think they care about you? Turn on your tv tonight and tell me every commercial isn't "Eat this meat, add some cheese" "are you feeling sick? Buy this pill!" "Want some more cheese with that meat?" "Libido ain't working anymore? Buy this pill!".

To the guy speaking about his grandparents. What was there activity level in their 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's? How was their cognitive function? Could they take care of themselves? If all of your answers explain that they were fit, had their wits and could take care of themselves on their own then my friend, that is purely genetics. It's the exception, not the rule. 1 in every 3 Americans gets cancer or dies from heart failure or has a stroke or gets diabetes. These statistics have skyrocketed since the 1900's once our diets became more and more meat, dairy and wheat based. The numbers are sky rocketing to unimaginable levels since processed foods and artificial sweetners entered agriculture. We have two or three generations now of people who don't know what real food is.

I could post countless references to back these claims but I know nt don't like to read past 2 paragraphs unless it fits their current belief system.

Sorry if I feel like I'm attacking but in this entire thread I've been nothing but helpful and compassionate and understanding. But even the zen master has a Bruce lee karate chop in him lol.

If you're open minded and curious I'd love to share.

To the ones doing the damn thing, keep it up! The road less traveled is the most rewarding!

Ben I enjoyed your posts. I agree, people need to be careful about what they're trying to pass off as truth/fact on this board. People, please do your diligent research before posting stuff here. A lot of "knowledge" being discussed is not backed by scientific research. Before jumping into something that you think is healthy from what you learned from a magazine or from google, please consult an actual nutrition expert, dietician, or doctor.

Ultimately it's great that people are trying new things and experimenting with new eating habits, but you don't need to develop an eating disorder in the process.

Thats what im saying and trying to tell other people and my girl.... I mean you can eat it but do so in small qualities and like every now and then...

Also the nutri bullet comes with 2 huge jucing booklets with recipes, and tells you what fruit or vegatables help with what and lots more. its awesome
