OFFICIAL JUICING THREAD (NOT THAT TYPE OF JUICING)

Lucky, I was thinkin of throwing one in an ice chest, but they jus don't taste the same if it's been sitting around in my experience

Yeah they are blender bottles. I got most of them from Amazon (3-pack). I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but the caps are annoying as hell. I've ordered a 3-pack from Amazon twice, and both times the caps are super hard to open. Throw it through the dish washer and it gets a little better. The ones I got from GNC are good though.

Never got into juicing like i planned to. i was always to cheap to drop the money on a nice juicer

Instead, I just started hitting the gym everyday and eating a **** ton of veggies and fruits. But today I had to get my two bottom wisdom teeth extracted and I'm gonna plan to be off solids for around 3 days, so i thought I would give a mini juice cleanse a try.

bought a bunch of these from my local juice bar

Keep it up

I'm hitting week 4 this week down about 11-12 lbs or so. Feeling GREAT.  I'm juicing for breakfast and lunch.  I started off juicing the whole day for about 2.5 to 3 weeks  I've been eating very light dinners like Salmon, Mahi Mahi or Beans and steamed rice.  I have had a few cheat dinner's about once a week like Chinese food (no big deal)

Right now my favorite go to drink is. 3.5 cups of Freezing ice water w/ chunks of ice..Organic- Red Russian Kale, Lacinto Kale, Collard Greens, 1 orange, 1 Banana, 1 Kiwi, Cucumber, Celery handful of mixed frozen berries.

Sometimes I do boil some Numi Puh-er or Jasmine green tea and add it about twice a week w/ everything else.

I do not like using the regular bushy kale at all. It's just really too thick.  Kale seems to last a lot longer in the fridge right now than the Collards

..

That is what actually i wanted to know....is it proven to clean out and benefit your body? Scientifically? I get what you are saying...but i dont know if i believe there to be a tangible improvement in my quality of life.

For example, if i eat healthy and drink juice once a day versus eat healthy drink juice once a day and juice fast 3 days once a month will that make me live longer, have better sleep, recover from sickness faster, get sick less etc? Just seeing if anyone knows if any true scientific benefit has been shown.

A slight tangent; beliefs are just as important as what you eat. They did a placebo test and labeled one milkshake delicious etc and the othrr low calorie diet etc. They were both 300 calories. Afterwards they neasured gherelin, aka hunger satiation, and people who thought they had the high calorie milkshake had 3x lower levels. Meaning their body chemically told them they were much less hungry.

There is so much information out there today because of how accessible the internet is, it's almost impossible to decipher what's real and what's fake. You can't even trust university studies or news articles because corporate sponsors and lobbyists are out there and we now know of they exist thanks to the transparency of the internet. Not to mention every person with access to the internet has a voice and everyone likes to spread what they think they know like wild fires.

With that said, will a Detox once a month or every few months make you healthier than people not detoxing? These types of questions are very broad and not specific so I don't think I can provide the answer you may be looking for, but I'll try.

Patient a: Standard American diet since birth, at age 25 starts incorporating a detox every 3 months for 3 days but continues to eat the standard American diet in between fasts.

Patient b: standard America diet since birth, age 25 and does not incorporate a monthly or tri-monthly detox but has a juice once a day.

That is the scenario you provided. Personally I have not read or came across any studies that are similar or extremely close to provide scientific facts as it pertains to patient a being healthier in the long run compared to patient b.

It is my personal opinion that the answer may be no, it doesn't significantly make a difference in the long run because those 1-4 detoxes a year doesn't hold up to the other 300+ days you're over working your organs and clogging your arteries. That goes for both patients. However, they are both healthier than the man/woman that doesn't get any proper nutrients your body was designed to get.

Now if you detox or completely switch to a vegan or a 80/10/10 vegan diet for the rest of your life, the answers to your questions are yes. And that is scientific fact that I can provide.

djaward djaward lol man it's going to be rough if you're eating like that. You've got to be creative! YouTube some vegan recipes and make it easier. Once you see how many options there are and how good it tastes you won't be going back. Especially when you notice how amazing and clear and connected you feel.

Dont worry Ben, Im gonna try stuff out before I can give it a yes or a no.

Haha all good. Last night I made teriyaki stir fry with quinoa and for the side a whole watermelon.

Tonight I'm thinking raw summer "tacos" in a romaine lettuce wrap instead of a shell. All raw.

Anybody in here live in NorCal? Going to be opening up a business around here soon with plans of expansion to hawaii and SoCal. Can't get into details but it involves food, juice and other "stuff" that I can't mention.

3 day juice cleanse next week. Been about a year since I've done one. Looking forward to it.

In Chicago right now so I'm eating like crap. Get back home early Sunday, will get back to eating clean then prep the body for the cleanse Tuesday/Wed.

Then it's on.

Trying to do vegan for a week.

Today's lunch menu, a green juice (shout out to my wife Marisela Ron for making it), grilled bell peppers, onion, tomatoes and cilantro topped with guacamole and a side of radishes with lemon.

Taste really good.

Whats wrong with it lol.

I know its not much to a lot of you but seriously it filled me up. That juice and whatever I ate was sufficient enough. Im not always eating like this though.

Jus bought this bad boy. Won't be here til cinco de mayo, but I'm very excited to use it.

Also, for lunch yesterday I went up to Berkeley and ate at cafe gratitude. I had raw "nachos". View media item 941142Sunflower seed pate, salsa fresca, guacamole, sprouted chips and spicy cashew nacho cheese.

A Coconut banana milk with hemp, maca. dates, vanilla bean and salt. Best chocolate banana shake I've ever had.

And for desert I got a peach cobbler in a sprouted crust topped with coconut milk vanilla ice cream.

Later for dinner I actually cooked instead of eating raw and made yellow curry with veggies topped on a spicy brown rice.

If you'd like @djaward I could consistently post the food I eat with pics to give you some ideas. Let me know.

tried juicing before but the time it took my to clean my breville after each batch I made was a pain :x

just picked up a magic bullet over the weekend so I'll be drinking smoothies as a meal replacement twice a day using the same ingredient that I used to make my juices. hopefully this works out

The clean up required after each juice is exactly why I stay away from juicers haha. You'll enjoy the bullet way more. Except the chunky pulp depending what you put in it.
