OFFICIAL JUICING THREAD (NOT THAT TYPE OF JUICING)

Here a few 3 day juice cleanses I am looking into. I've never had a juice "cleanse". Haven't felt it to be necessary considering I don't eat any meat, dairy, wheat, gluten, refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, alcohol, caffeine or processed foods. But I know others may be looking into getting into a juice cleanse and I think the 3 day approach may be all you need.

Juice cleanse level I: 6 juices a day for 3 days.

Juice 1: carrots, oranges, melon, apple, baobab and pomegranate oil

Juice 2: romaine, pineapple, cucumber, basil, moringa leaf, spirulina, jalapeño and dandelion

Juice 3: watermelon, strawberry, grapefruit, cayenne, ginseng, MSM, green coffee bean.

Juice 4: pineapple, lime, coconut nectar, chia seed, mint, blue majik powder, fulvik acid.

Juice 5: cucumber, beets, apple, carrots, cabbage, fennel, maca powder, mucana tribulous.

Juice 6: sprouted almonds, chamomile tea, medjool dates, coconut oil, vanilla bean, stevia, Himalayan sea salt.

Like every detox and juice cleanse it is important to prepare your body if you aren't already as healthy as humanly possible. Here's a few simple things you can do to get a head start in the few days leading up to your actual juice cleanse:
- Avoid caffeine, alcohol, sugar and nicotine. These can delay the benefits of your cleanse.
- eat as light and as raw as possible. Consume minimally processed fruits and veggies.
- avoid all heavily processed and fast foods always, but particularly before your cleanse.
- drink plenty of water before, during and after your detox to reduce any side effects.

This one is considered to be he most difficult one because it doesn't have as much fruit as the others. It's all mental, though baby, anyone can do it.

Same as before, 6 juices a day for 3 days.

Juice 1: kale, romaine, celery, cucumber, green apple, lemon grass, ginger, msm, ginseng and spirulina (THIS IS WHAT I DRINK EVERY MORNING)

Juice 2: cucumber, celery, Swiss chard, kiwi, grapefruit, pomegranate oil, chia seed

Juice 3: cucumber, spinach, bok Choy, kiwi, mint, lime, fulvic acid, noni

Juice 4: collard greens, bok Choy, kale, cactus, cantaloupe, lemon, cayenne, cordyceps mushroom powder

Juice 5: spinach, parsley, romaine, apple, orange, burdock root, chlorella powder, chaga

Juice 6: beet, cucumber, carrot, collard greens, Fuji apple, ginger, maca, lucuma.

These are 2 of the best juice cleanses I've come across in recent memory and I co-sign both. If you can afford all that produce, which I know you can, try to duplicate these.

Or if you live in San Diego, just hit up the juice bar "Vitality Tap" and they sell these juice cleanses in a package for around 80$ each day I think :-/

Yikes. Are you telling me I have to give up my whole wheat bread? Is sprouted a good alternative?

Just got my vitamix in the mail yesterday, first time using it this morning. Definetely the best purchase I've made in a very very long time. No pulp, no chunk, no seeds. Amazing. Even poured it in a nutribullet cup to give it some love on its day of replacement lol.

Went pretty basic, gotta make a run to the farmers market and stock up.

Celery, kale, pineapple, mango and banana w/ fresh squeezed orange juice from the tree outback.

If your goal is optimum health, then yeah I'd say giving up wheat is a must.

I stay away from eating most flours, but when I do I use coconut flour, tapioca flour or almond flour when I cook.

Sprouted is the best way to go. Sprouted buck wheat is the absolute healthiest choice. Be careful buying Ezekiel bread and it's brand because they still use wheat and refined wheat, just check the ingredients.

Whats wrong with it lol.

I know its not much to a lot of you but seriously it filled me up. That juice and whatever I ate was sufficient enough. Im not always eating like this though.

nothing man

I thought you had blended your meal ( grilled bell peppers, onion, tomatoes and cilantro topped with guacamole and a side of radishes with lemon)

i thought you were drinking grilled bell peppers and onions ...until i saw your second picture and saw the meal

Starting a fast today. Following I plan on doing a low carb diet trying to get my abs back lol View media item 950240
Good job man and good luck. Piece of advice,

head to Target and get your self some plastic Lids. Those lids are going to rust and might ruin your drink.

I tried Whole Foods and Trader Joe's today; Neither had any sprouted bread without wheat.  The Ezekiel bread at TJs was the closest I could find so I settled. Where's my best bet to find some buck wheat in the future?

Also, what are your recommendations when it comes to pasta and rice? I've been going brown rice and whole wheat pasta in the past. I went with some gluten free brown rice pasta today.

Thanks.

I had that Ezekiel bread recently. That is real bread, I had to eat it fast it's not really processed so it spoils quick

I could see that. It's got a unique texture. I just downed a few slices with almond butter and banana. Passed the taste test.

Ever since I bought my nutribullet I've been juicing once everyday, half greens half fruits plus nuts and seeds, it's the truth can't believe I started so late

When I was juicing about 6 months ago must of the stuff I found online stated otherwise. Like the link below.

Just curious that's all

http://www.justonjuice.com/can-i-use-a-blender-for-juicing/

I happen to disagree. The most important part is the nutrients. All blending adds is fiber. It's still a fast.

Edit: maybe I'm not sure what context he is asking the question in.

Juicing and smoothies are different obviously because when you juice you are extracting the juice part of the fruit and missing out on the fiber from the meat.

Both are still considered a juice fast tho.

I agree with you that it's still a fast but not technically a juice fast as it can easily be mistaken as when you blend as a meal replacement.

Can I use a blender for juicing?

I’ll say it again, no! The reason you cannot use a blender for juicing is that a blender does not separate the fiber and pulp from a juice like a juicer does. A blender simply chops up and blends whatever you decide to put into it. A juicer on the other hand will separate all the fiber and pulp and give you only the juice of the fruits and veggies you put into it. When you are on a juice fast you have to eliminate all of the insoluble fibers from your diet to give your digestive system a much needed rest and cleanse from all of those dirty toxins that you’ve been feeding it. So, if you’re still wondering, can I use a blender for juicing, read on!

Juicers are used for juicing
When you go on a juice fast, you are eliminating fibrous foods from your diet. You are also not using your digestive system. When you make a juice the vitamins and minerals are already broken down and absorbed into your system within minutes of consuming. This is critical to how a juice fast works. If you use a blender, you will still get all of the fiber and your digestive system will kick back into gear thus stopping your juice fast.

either way I'm using my magic bullet as a meal replacement as oppose to juicing due to the clean up time after I juice my veggies

I've heard the argument before and my buddies that take bio Chem say the fiber significance isn't enough to ruin the fast. I argue that the juice fast with smoothies is more effective than just juicing.

Sup Guys, I want to apologize for being MIA in this thread. Bees extremely busy with work, djing and kids.

Just wanted to update you guys real quick,

For some odd reason I havent weighed myself for over 2 months. Im still juicing and eating healthy with workouts being done once in a while (not as much as I would like too) .

I had to buy new clothes because instead of getting compliments on my new look, I was getting criticized on my clothed and how baggy they were.

Im finally able to fit in a sz 36 pants (still a little too tight for my liking though) check it out,

Next goal is a sz 32 and losing 30 more pounds.

Anyone have thoughts on the Evolution Fresh juices that are getting slightly popular? I've been drinking two essential greens for the past two weeks. I enjoy the taste of them more than any other beverage currently. Really feeling a lot better mentally, I'm just trying to prep my body for a juice again

I just wonder if these could possibly be bogus like Naked (they taste nothing like Naked though)

Could you take a pic of the ingredients label in the back?

Also, is it organic?

Two a day? You'll save way more money if you buy the ingredients yourself at your local farmers market. Not to mention you'll know exactly what is going in your juice.

Yup, ingredients here

http://www.evolutionfresh.com/en-us/juice/essential-greens-juice

I have just been drinking two of these a day (one breakfast, one lunch) then eating small at home...mainly to just brace myself for a juice cleanse like you suggested. Then I plan to follow the diets I've researched since you helped me out a bit a couple of months ago. Definitely can't go back into that sheep state
