Of the 8 candidates listed by the NFL, who would you most want to see on Hard Knocks next year?

Chicago would be awesome. Some of that Jay and B-Marsh bromance.

I sort of expect them to pick Pitt or NYG, since those are ultra-marquee teams that haven't been in this situation that often (I guess Chicago qualifies for that too).

Really I would watch and enjoy any of these though. Arizona could be great.

I wish Seattle was on that list though
Based on the article, the only teams on that list are teams that:

a.) Don't have a first year head coach

b.) Haven't been to the playoffs in any of the last 2 seasons

c.) Haven't been on any of the previous 10 seasons of Hard Knocks

Stipulation B would eliminate Seattle from consideration.....unless of course, they volunteer to do it.

It's a joke that they can force teams to do this.
Why?  Have you seen the show?  It's great entertainment and great for the league.  What if no one wants to do it?  The NFL would be stupid to kill the show simply because no team is excited to do it.

Rooney will make sure Pitt isn't on there. They absolutely don't want to do it, asinine the NFL can force teams to do this show

Preach. People on professional sports teams have enough to worry about without stupid shows like this. The arrogance of the NFL is outrageous. They really think they have the right to micromanage lives to this degree.

NFL is entertainment. This show is great entertainment. People are so high and mighty about football... It's not that serious

I agree with this and totally disagree with anyone who says the NFL should not be able to force a team to do this.  Why shouldn't they?  They have a widely successful cable television show which showcases their product.  Everyone loves the show.  Why would the NFL simply allow the show to be discontinued simply because teams would prefer not to do it?

If you find the show entertaining, maybe. Perhaps it's not as fun to be forced to be on it.

NFL players are forced to do all kinds of publicity as part of their contracts. This is just another way of selling the NFL product. If you can make training camp something people want to watch, sell that too.

The NFL itself isn't much different from a season of a TV show in format or value.

I'm not disputing the fact that the NFL is extremely intuitive about squeezing money out of every avenue possible. That's good business sense. I don't agree philosophically with a lot of what they do - it just seems like they want to micromanage too much. About the publicity thing...they fined Lynch 50k for not wanting to talk on a podium to reporters. It's well documented he's sort of a guarded person, so this is clearly not a middle finger to the NFL or anything. But if you give your real opinion after a game (let's take that "Fail Mary" game with Green Bay and Seattle) they're going to fine you for "inappropriate" comments.

They want some kind of whitewashed generic response that's the same every time. Screwed if you do, screwed if you don't.
