No doubt. I was there from 03 to 07 and lived in Slowe, so there were plenty of robberies that happened to peeps.  Never to me but I knew a lot of the local guys, but man that was a great time of my life.
 
I stepped away from my desk and went to the bathroom and came back to a missed call. Got scared, thought they caught me loafin'. It was the damn luggage repair man telling me they fixed my suitcase for my flight home this weekend. I'm happy regardless, but I should not be this stressed out over using the toilet. I need this release to be over with :lol:

I cover up my face and jump back in line. Cops let off again and started macing. I try to run and fall off the curb and twist my ankle. They ended up closing down the event altogether and made everybody leave.

About 100 of us were smart enough to understand they just wanted to thin out the large crowd so we waited. Cops let us line up again. I was like #6. Got pushed back to about #45

Naw they got a military manager that goes by the book. He done told everybody they doing raffle tomorrow, now he losing his mind because people are still there. About 50, but the store is losing money because they should have already open 2 hours ago but its been choas since 3am from what i heard :rofl:

Yes and doing this once a year for XI which are basically Nikes biggest release would help cut down on:

-Bots
-Resellers
-Crime (murders, robberies, etc.)
-Rigged raffles
-Shoe store employees/managers making money under the table

It would screw over mom and pop stores but at this point the benefits still outweigh the costs.

wouldn't screw up bots, because there are two pieces two Nike.  Nike sends the shoes to the retailers, and NDC is a retailer that Nike owns.  Means that NDC would still get stock, and the bots would still be there.

I honestly hope they experiment with that logic.

I was also assuming Nike would do an online raffle for NDC in which you would enter a code upon checkout.

Went to make a return at NTNY yesterday and saw they were doing a raffle for these. Barely anybody on line. I signed up for the hell of it. Seems like everyone should get a pair considering the likely large quantity NTNY will be getting versus the small amounts of people that were showing up for their raffle. It like no one knew about it.

Thats ugly. Now he has to explain his dismal numbers to the regional manager. I went to the mall to pick up my ticket earlier this week and they told me they were open until 11pm. I told them I'd say an extra prayer for them....

That logic would eliminate craziness and violence but would do nothing to improve fairness or deal with bots.

Bots/ATC would just evolve to give one person 50-100 entries in to Nike's online raffle (even if that meant making 50-100 dummy email addresses and so on...)

And that's only because it's bad PR to have people being shot because of how you release your product. It's really screwed up how companies refuses to take responsibility and look out for it's customers until it affects them.
