12/2014 Air Jordan 11 Retro - White/Black-Legend Blue - 378037-117 NO GM TALK ALLOWED!

greenmachine greenmachine dude had 700 plus pairs of shoes and lost a lot of love for th shoe game because of how it has become. He started moving doubles and triples so he didn't really lose much as far as sentimental value goes. I mean his wife was happy to get a lot of square footage back in the house and he still has a mean collection.
I will allow it

Dehoardifization is good for the soul

I share his exact sentiments...sometimes I feel ashamed standing in line for a ticket or to pick my pair up from the store. It's embarrassing at times to be a part of the sneaker community but oh well I just can't seem to give it up; however I made a compromise to by only OG colors and stuff I missed out on as a kid or stuff I beat up when I played ball. Honestly '15 will probably be the final year of my J collecting days. These 11s have a very sentimental value that's why I went so hard for these...to the point of cutting off a family member. However 700 is a huge collection...when I'm done it'll probably be around 120 jordans.

I hear u man. I've learned my biggest issue is perception.
Once I realized I didn't NEED every shoe then I started feeling better.
I've missed so many shoes this year and I don't even feel bad. Shoes release so much that the missed ones become a faded memory very quickly.

I do admit tho that there are a few that drop that I MUST get. Stuff like the red penny I and these legend blues are 10000% Non passable and purchased.

Alright day two for west coast is in a few hours!

That's how it's been for me lately but it was luck involved.
I walked in later on release day or after and walked out with grey toe xiii, red pod xiii, and black infra 6 due to none ticket pickups and I think a return on the infra 6. I've actually been enjoying that experience.
I got the black grapes/infrared 11 lows ( just came in from florida that day too) and couple of others from people not picking up pairs on time.

Last year gamma release people lined up for unclaim pairs. I'm sure it's going to be the same way.

Indeed!! True to OG as possible...the 01 soles were a bust, but I got em regardless

not that its going to make things better, but there has got to be A LOT of unclaimed pairs. think about all the people that entered 15+ stores, most will only claim one or two winning tickets.

plus the pickup window is a lot smaller than other releases.

for instance, im in SI, if i win in Jersey and vice versa, im going to be cutting it close going around picking up tickets.

I personally would not.. if I was the one receiving the WTLs..i would definitely accept. it all depends how much u value each shoe... these 11s will probably restock a gazillion times..
got it.. I really really really don't want to pay resell for these 11s. I paid $225 for my WTLs and still haven't gotten myself to wear em just bc they're so out there. Hopefully I just score on release day and don't have to fret.

Agreed BUT stores get real shady with giving info about unclaimed pairs and when they will release.

You'd be more likely to get a realistic answer from Tom Brady about them recording the Rams walkthrough before the super bowl than you would get from most employees about when they will release unclaimed pairs to be honest.

Hopefully a lot of this people when they get another call to tell the person that they already won what they need and to give that pair to the next person drawn.

Foot locker at Menlo called me but for the gift of flight pack :frown: prolly will resell those to pay resale value for Columbias

i hope thats the way it goes but i dont trust employees so...

being as its the holiday, i will claim all if any of my pairs, and plan to sell them at retail to those who need them, especially a parent or someone who needs them to gift on christmas.

im fortunate enough to have a job this year, and if i can help make someones christmas, while preventing some parent or girlfriend from getting ripped off by a greedy reseller, i will glady do so.
