12/2014 Air Jordan 11 Retro - White/Black-Legend Blue - 378037-117 NO GM TALK ALLOWED!

:smh: This is a summer shoe man.... The hell they dropping in December for?

Woulda been dope if they were a July 4th drop.

I like the yellowing on these.... Helps make the shoe pop. A super white pair of shoes tends to just look like a white blob on your feet. Some yellowing helps the different lines and parts of the XI become discernible.

"I honestly like the yellowing on these"

OK :rolleyes

That was my same reaction when ppl said this. But dude in the pic had them looking dope for some reason. Still prefer the fresh whites 10 times out of 10

That cream looking patent looks dirty as hell and out place. I'm good on the whole yellowing giving them character or making them pop nonsense.

They've been dropping white based shoes for fall/winter time for awhile

I remember when they dropped the black tongue 5's in December 2006 thinking the exact same thing

People forget the Columbias had a mesh tongue and a leather upper. If it's not that, I'm passing.

All signs, so far, point towards them staying true to the original

on the yellowing topic

I thought the whole point of this shoe hobby was to wear fresh kicks at all times, I just can't rock old yellow kicks just because they're rare.

I would feel strange. Same reason I HATE vintage treatments that nike does from time to time.

Also creases do not give shoes character. You just have creases imo

Yes, I'd love a fresh pair, but I still LOVE the contrast of the yellowing on the PL on an older OG or '01 pair.

Some shoes (IMO), just look better aged.  The suede/nubuck fading on the '02 Charcoals compared to the most recent retro is a good example.  Doesn't mean I don't want (or didn't buy) a pair of the 2012's, but I'd still take a pair of the '02s every day of the week.

I'll be looking forward to getting a pair in Dec. (been 2 for 2 on the FNL draft for the Playoffs and the Gammas, hope the streak continues) but will still always love my 96s and 01s dearly.   I've been doing some light retrobriting for the yellowing on the soles...but will let the PL continue to age/yellow.

Still can't believe both these and the Infrared VIs are dropping the same year...crazy.

*reposted pic, but just wanted to add it again.  Pardon the sock marks.

That's what so good about this hobby...for every pair 10 people don't like....there's 10 that do.  As much as the "shoe bubble" we're in right now driving prices up, it has increased the amount of shoes we see released on a yearly basis.  Have gotten to see some different things post 2011 Concord release that we wouldn't have prior.

I bet if JB released a "distressed" version...they'd sell out just as fast.

I'm glad for the variety...makes things interesting/fresh.

*edit stupid spellcheck*

i honestly hate yellowed patent but i can appreciate how you feel about them.

These actually look better dirty and yellow in my opinion. It has that vintage type of feel, these along with ones look good as beaters.
