Yeah. I just can't rock a pair that has a fresh out the bed piss yellow sole, along with the banana yellow PL. When it gets to that point, I just have to let em go.

How quick does the pl turn yellow? I hope not as quick as soles cause after two wears my gamma started to turn as well as fire red 5s

It will take a lot longer for PL to yellow than your average clear sole simply because most moisture will accumulate on the soles rather than the PL.
As @tay1 stated, yellowing is inevitable eventually, so there's no point in stressing about something out of our control. There's plenty of product on the market to help remove it if it gets to the point you can't stand it any longer.
Also some preventative things you can do to help, such as cleaning your soles/PL after each wear. You don't have to spend an hour detailing your shoes, just a quick lather to remove any dirt/grime/water (especially w/ the salty roads most of us have experienced this winter), LET THEM DRY COMPLETELY, then stick them back in the box/wherever you store them. Don't go over the top w/ the silica and shrinkwrapping on the XIs, as the PL does need to breath some.
Taking the 5-10 minutes after a wear can help keep them in good shape and save cash down the line on all these "restoration" products.
Worst case scenario...stick around the scene for a few years...they'll just retro again

Those shoes are over a decade old... It takes years for them to yellow. You're good.
And I've had my fire red V's since release date, and they are still blue. Where are you wearing yours?

people asking about the patent yellowing, or how long it will take should go looking for pics of used black/white XI lows that released last year. has white patent on them. anniv XIs have white patent too and I haven't seen any yellowed patent pairs yet.

Woulda been dope if they were a July 4th drop.
I get what your saying I don't usually rock my jays right away tho but I'm glad I'm on the east because we get a break for a while due to weather conditions, so all my heat minus the beaters get a breather for a bit while most people rock theirs right away it will gain wear and tear I mean I'm coppin 2 pairs but im happy I cam hold onto them for that much longer.
