I will say this though, I feel bad for the dude because the huge push he's getting just for being a white guy is overshadowing that he did make some at the least catchy singles that he deserves credit for. He's probably getting a complex feeling like he needs to apologize for his success too. He's getting paid but in a (very small) way the white media bias is messing with him too.

Having said all that though, again, posting that text tho to get some fans, cmon son

i just think that text was tacky, to say you were going to speak up on something you felt in your heart, and you froze up, ran outta time... the music came on...

sounded like a bunch of excuses to me, why even mention it if all those different factors came into play?

why not find him and speak to him personally if you were that bothered by it?

and why share that post with your fans? none of anyones business.

Thought the text was cool. Should he have shared it? Idk, but I'm assuming he means well. Mack's been real public about how he thinks GKMC is the better album anyway.

In the end, K Dot doesn't need an award to "validate" his music. Sure it would've been great for him to win it. It doesn't matter to me, I'll still listen to music he puts out.

The Grammy's have never defined rap, so who cares who won.

A lot of the artist who win, end up being washed up, because they're overPOPularized.

The majority of the voters don't look like Kendrick, so he was never going to win, nor was anyone going against Macklemore.

Macklemore - Ryan Lewis = no record sales, contracts or even a career.

Dude is a terrible "rapper".
See what I did there? Because the guy does not have a rhythm, almost never rhymes, and hardly any word play. So what makes him a "rapper" ?

The answer is......Ryan Lewis. He's the real talent. Ryan Lewis needs to start producing for real rappers. I'd love to hear Ghostface, Jadakiss, Kendrick Lamar and some other true rappers rhyme on Ryan Lewis beats.

Why are you dudes hating on him so hard? I know he beat out your boy for an award but to say he's terrible is stupid. He really can legitimately rap and makes music with a message. Not all of us are into the message he promotes but he's a marketing genius for that and Thrift Shop.

Talking about Ryan Lewis needs to be making beats for Ghostface and Jadakiss....get in touch with reality buddy. Neither one of them are near relevant in the year 2014.
