Going to Europe in three weeks, how's the shoe scene there?

I've heard how retros never sell out in Europe, and they just sit on shelves for below retail, and I was wondering if they had any heat, like for example my friend went to Naples over the summer and they had the GMP pack sitting on the shelves...

all the Jordans in Europe end up coming to the States via eBay

it's getting harder to pick up stuff from what I understand

been living in London for the past 9 months. the big Jordan GRs sit on the shelves a while but the limited stuff (bred 1, black toe 1, gamma 11, etc) goes quick. you MIGHT be able to get the limited stuff day of release in-store but guaranteed to be gone by the next day. Extremely limited stuff (collabs, etc) is same story as US (campout or bust). Been to Amsterdam and Barcelona, saw some stuff sitting but nothing major. The stuff that sells on ebay for 30-40 over retail price are the shoes the end up sitting on shelves. That below retail talk, after the conversion, ends up being more expensive than US retail. good luck.

ive been living in Germany the past two years. For GR depending on how popular will probably only sit for about  2 weeks for example the TORO 4s sat for a week here but fire red 3s sat for about 4 months. Limited releases are gone the first day. Ive also been to London where its almost the same as here. Went to Barcelona in October looking for Retro Js really didnt find much sitting at all. In Italy in cities like Pisa Venice and Naples i came across retro Js sitting. One place still had BRED 11s almost a year later. my suggestion to you is to google sneaker stores that are close to the areas where you will be staying , check there websites and see what they have. need anymore info just let me know.

I appreciate it man, I'm going to Paris, Monaco, Pisa, Florence, Siena, Assissi and Rome, I know the prices are jacked in the larger cities but maybe I'll find something worthwhile in the smaller cities

good luck to you, while most good releases will be gone as quick as they would in the US, some shoes are still available with a little luck. I´m living in Germany, to date you could still find Fire Red 3s here but that´s about it for the major releases.

Prices in France (Paris) are a bit more than most other EU country you can expect to pay the same dollar price in euros so if a shoe retails at $160 you can expect to be paying €160 which is basically US ebay reseller prices. The other issue in europe is the sizes available most places only get full sizes you might get half sizes up to us 10 but after that its full sizes in most places.

If you want to get shoes for US retail youll have to go to eastern Europe and most of those places don't stock more than 1-2 GR styles at any one time..

Im speaking mainly about jordans and lebrons here retro air max and other "lifestyle" shoes are more available in more CWs its just the eu style unless you are in some of the major basketball cities like Barcelona/Olympiacos/Kaunas you wont get a huge selection of Js. Even in cities like london Js never really go on sale and when they do its like 10-20% on GR stuff that would sit in the US.
