Official Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Thread

Those aren't as bad as the previous couple griffey 1 releases, i wish they would at least go back to the single color swoosh on the toe instead of the outlined ones.  There's just something about that outline that makes it seem cheap to me.

Thoroughly mediocre, which is to say that it's better than 90% of their efforts since the first go around of these.

Kind of. The released pair was retro of the publicly-available Emerald OG. The white sole pair, which may of us like better, was the PE version made for Griff. I believe Sinner custom-painted a black sole pair to emulate the original PE.
 
I kind of like the laser crimsons, but that color is it red, pink, or pretty much inbetween? Some pictures online deceiving me. Would have liked infrared 23 color on them more probably.

I thought somebody customized a pair too; am I correct?

What was the name of that poster who had all those Seattle PEs and lots of OG stuff? Maybe it was him.

EDIT - HeelnToewithmy.... or something like that. Maybe it was him.

i have freshwaters and love them but had to get a 12 and i wear an 11-11.5 so they look/feel way too big but i still rock em but wish i had an 11 for real, freshwaters and volts are my favs. i dont remember the emeralds back then so they dont have too much appeal to me.

Yep, @heelntoe wit my nyks  is the one... don't think he did a custom pair of those though... at least, he hasn't told me about it.

Not me. It's on my list to have someone sole-swap a pair.

Member larrivee7 has a customized pair. I think cincybcats22 has a customized pair as well.
 
these arent friendly to my feet either. havent switched out the insoles yet, however i dont wear them if im doing much walking.

We used to get an eyes of hazel post every once in a while, just you thought he may have disappeared. Haven't seen him in a minute either though. :nerd:

Don't think I've seen Cincy in a while... larrivee7 pops-up from time to time, if I remember correctly. 

Out of these 3, I think Hazel pops-up the most.
 
^ best colorway hands down, i got a size 12 but its mad big lol im not paying a crazy price for them though
 
never liked the emeralds and dont remember them back when the OGs released, i only remember the freshwaters and volts, i dont think anyone at my high school got the emeralds
