Is Peyton Manning the most overrated qb of all time?

Peyton Manning is probably the greatest regular season/Fantasy quarterback ever but he probably drops to top 15 in the postseason

You must think dudes are talking about Eli.

Only qb in this generation that is arguably better than P. Manning is Brady.

And with 1 more ring for Peyton I think that argument goes out of the window.

Skill wise i honestly do believe that Drew Brees is up there with Peyton also... But his start in SD wasn't very glorious.

This is gonna be gold.

Who are the 3 QBs?
I said arguably. With that said:
Brees
Brady
Rodgers
Hell, you may have a case for Philly Riv if he gets a ring. inflated stats be damned, manning is better than most, but that's where it stops. I'm starting to see where the word overrated would get thrown around when #18 gets brought up. He's only top 3 of all time on Madden. Srs

Boy, that Manning guy looked pretty overrated last night, I tell ya.

*checks calendar*

*checks what week in the NFL it is*

*does simple math and reading skills*

Oh.

It ISNT the playoffs yet.

It cant be the playoffs, the Texans are still playing

well damn...

The next best thing to brady getting another ring is an early exit for manning in the playoffs.

Actually let that boy cook until the Super Bowl and then get blown out.

B4 the game, Manning said he would treat this game like the playoffs...

He is a man of his word.

4 INTs (including one pick 6 to cost his team)

Vintage Peyton

Dude is a 38 year old man that is still a starting QB in the NFL. I'm at the point I cant expect anything positive and any good games he does have are just a bonus. :frown:

there was no need to bump this thread, but since it was done....LMAOOOOOO @ this post:

Lol. Pats got homefield now. Thanks Manning for tanking my fantasy season!

I would actually enjoy watching Peyton lose in the first round AGAIN.... but there's a part of me that wants to see Brady & Belicheck put the final nails in the Coffin of Peytons career in Foxboro.. it's only fitting.

This this and all of this.

Man you guys are Scrooges! Want to see a HOFer go down in flames

I do get it though if you are a NE fan

big NE fan here. Him playing his last game in foxboro while brady goes on to title number 4 would be epic and would seal the deal for who was the best qb of this era.

you cant call someone "most overrated of all time" when you see what he does during the regular season and during some playoff games. Yes, he under performs in the playoffs but to give someone the title of all time seems a little blasphemous to me

Get your **** together Manning

I'm probably the only NE fan on this board who felt for him yesterday.

Always had a lot of respect for Peyton, and I don't let the rivalry get in the way of how I view him. For situations like these, I usually do separate the player from his fans though.

But I'm not mad at my guys for their words. I've seen & heard so much garbage coming from the other side over the years. It's gonna happen when either one of them do good or bad so I've come to accept it.

i 100% hear you, DSK. and i respect the guy...but not to a point where i put him ahead of my own happiness and Brady's quest for #4.

that stink bomb of a game last night VASTLY improved our chances at the elusive numero 4. so i have to celebrate it.

and with peyton, in my eyes nothing he does here on out can improve or hurt his legacy. his legacy is complete. he is one of the greats to ever play. i don't need him to go out guns blazing...especially not at the cost of our team.

and lastly, i don't think last night means the broncos are done. i really don't. he showed that he still can be deadly. so i can't feel bad for him yet. not yet.

Peyton Manning isn't the most overrated QB of all time

Brett Favre and Phillip Rivers come to mind first but thats no knock on them

I feel you g. It's not a knock against anyone, and like I said, I'm not gonna bash y'all for talking after some of the stupid **** that people come up with from the other side.

Obviously I don't want Peyton to win because that means my team is out of it. I'd rather not see him going out flabby and sick though...the same applies for Brady, Rodgers, Big Ben, etc. when their time comes.

I don't think the Broncos are done either. That's why I brought up the obituary thing in my last post...the NFL is too crazy and unpredictable. Can he at least physically get back to where he was last season? That's the big question.

Definitely agree. I remember when the stupid narrative for last year's AFC Title game was all about "legacy defining" for Brady and Manning. I argued against it and said both guys are pretty much set at this point. Considering we're having the same talk about them a year later...I think I got that one right.
