CyHi finally turned me into a fan after this one - the production is astounding, lyricism delivers as well.
 
He blocked me on twitter for slandering his punchlines a year ago...so I didnt want to bother with his music but this tape is nice. I am shocked
 
I came straight In the music forum just to see if there was a cyhi thread posted. Ive never paid any attention to this dudes music. For some reason every time I saw his name, my eyes was seeing "cypher the prince" and not "cyhi the prynce" lol. What finally grabbed my attention was a few days ago while listening to sway in the morning on the way to work. cy was on there and talking about working with kanye and stuff. Then they started playing some joints off that hystori mixtape. First track was mandela. My goodness, never felt like I did about music in a long time after hearing that track. I didn't want to get out of the car for work or nothin. Then after the 2nd track, which was Napoleon, I was a fan. Much slept on this dude. He brought the bars on this tape. And word play is just :x :smh:

Didnt even realize he put out a tape, buddy moved maaaaad quickly with this one. Dropped napoleon then 4 weeks later he had out a tape. Thats what im talking about :smokin
 
This tape is serious, I haven't liked much from him since Royal Flush 2. Basquiat is :pimp:

There are so many quotable bars from this tape, man. He really did his thing. Thing is, he's always been dope but this tape is the first thing he's put out that's solid front to back.

I hope he can carry this momentum and put out a solid album. I feel like his style could be commercially successful too.
 
The tape is fire. I was bumping it hard when it first came out. Started listening to it again and man. It's even more fire :smokin
