When you drop off your shoes, you can ask how many pairs they have in your size and how much they're listed for. If all pairs are listed at the same price, then they sell in the order they were received. If you want to sell your pair quicker, however, you can opt to sell yours at a cheaper price. For example, let's say they have 5 pairs right now in size 12. If you wanted to sell yours first, you could go there and list your size 12 for $5500, meaning yours will sell before the others.
That's why there's been a sudden decrease in prices on FC's website, because they have tons of pairs now and some sellers want to unload theirs quicker. In that regard, the availability you see listed on the site for each size isn't how many they actually have in total. For example, the site is showing they have 3 pairs in size 10.5 right now for $5,250. I was just there the other day and can tell you that they have 3 more pairs listed for $5500 and another 6 pairs for $6000. They had a size 8 the other day that I think sold for $4500-$5000. Now they have another size 8 listed for $6000.
Ultimately, the starting price at FC is $6000 and the seller decides how much lower they want to go depending on how many pairs are available in their size and how quickly they want to sell.
