When the original Yeezys came out they were going for 2, 3, 4k? I must have missed that. Cause prior to the Yeezy 2 I don't recall any publicly released sneaker reselling this high.

was talking about the solars my man. he said when the solars dropped they were going for 1-1.5K and that's not true. I felt real fortunate getting 'em for 2250 as they were going for even more than that on avg at FC.


and hell nah the 1s were going for like 500. when those first dropped.


a few years ago the most expensive kicks were the city series SBs, samples, PEs, Eminem IVs, UNDFTD IVs, certain AF1s, Floms etc.


But Yeezys ain't get that expensive 'til the 2s hit & then it was a wrap.

My bad, I thought you were talking about me. Yeah there was no one selling Solars for 1500. A year has passed and the Y2 are in that 3-4 range which gave the RO a distinct advantage. Coupled with it being referenced in a song, how long it came to be, it being Kanye's last Nike shoe (at least any time soon), I think it all pushes it up there.

I think all the pricing of these shoes are ridiculous and silly to even consider, but it's real and FC is just dealing in a market that throws money away. What is 6 to someone who would still pay 4500 when they think that's a reasonable amount to drop on a pair of sneakers?
 
Well...my pair is headed to FC.  Not in any rush, and just left in the comments "sell it for whatever", and they came back w/ the $6,000 quote. Apparently they don't have any 11.5's in stock...eh...whatever

Yes, in a perfect world, I'd be able to find a legit buyer for a local meetup for sale/trade, but where I live...it's just not going to happen.  My town's population is around 5,000.  I'm sure most of the people here selling have more than that in their entire neighborhood/5 mile radius.  I can have someone (or myself) drive 3-4 hours to a bigger city, but I don't want to waste time w/ flakes, shady buyers, possible safety concerns doing so.  Thought about going to a sneaker convention, but I'd rather just take any cash I can get from the sale, and just take that with me, and have a fun little shopping spree on various kicks I've missed the past few years.

Not in a rush or need the cash, so not really worried about when they'll sell.  When they do, all I'm really hoping  for is that a pair of DB's can be found (starting to dry up, no 13's on RIF or FC...only 2 on eBay), maybe hit up a sneaker convention for the first time, then just invest the rest.

not only are they dealing with highbrow ballers, celebs & athletes. they're dealing with hardcore enthusiasts that NEED to have their shoe now.

I went into LA once and saw Chi McBride standing there with a fat stogie in his mouth choppin' it up with the staff. Besides just being a successful actor this is the breed of collector they're dealing with.


And then you've got these young rich kids who walk in with their mom or dad and just buy w/e the hell they want. Seen kids walk out with bags full of heat all on mommies amex card.


And dude thinks shoes just sit? :lol: Again dude has an obvious vendetta against them. IDK what. I tried giving dude the benefit of the doubt when they said they did him dirt, but when I asked him what happened it sounded like pure BS. He's been just throwing shade for pages for no reason. Yet offering NO proof of his claims.

Got my solars ds for 1400 and ds plats for 1200 a month after release date. That was considered high back then sir.

Absolutely true.  Plats could be had in the 1100-1500 range; solars I was seeing 1500-1750.  That's not to mention, people were doing lots of package deals (friend bought a set of 2 solars and 2 plats at 4800 total).    These $5K+ figures seemed fairly unpredicatble

I remember some preorders being like $600 and the majority of us thought that was high LOL.... and btw the ROs can be had for 2.5-3k, just have to look for it.

I seen a few heads who lucked up and got 'em lower for 2K but that wasn't on no FC. It was just random lucky buyers.


I got my Plats from RIF for 1765 in August of 2012. August 6th to be exact. They dropped in June bro.


So IDK where ya'll was coming up for those prices.

I can't believe I didn't get these, i'm still hurt... I am 0 for 6. I actually like how nike did the release and I hope most of the people who copped are going to rock em! I will get these one day and I wish that there were people out there who helped others out and were in it for the love of the game and helped those who didn't cop

I got mines locally through Craigslist. Guess I got lucky paying 1000 plus resell lol

so how does FC check these with the paper trail?  What if I buy pairs for resale locally, can I not turn them to FC for the jack-up?
