I was thinking about what you said about them hiding pairs and It just dawned on me that they could possibility be selling consignment kicks for a higher price hiding the fact that it sold and then when the customer drops their price they get a higher cut. based on the dropped price and not the original price. The customer would never know because they are not showing all of the inventory as they did on the old site. They also did away with the sale history as well too. Ummmmmm
If they have your shoe it should be listed and shown. Why are they all of sudden lacking transparency?
Well that's possible but I interpret their new site as an effort to help their customers get the lowest price while not revealing how much inventory they have which keeps demand high.
If they sell for more than I consigned at, I don't care. I set a price and agreed to it, so I wouldn't be upset if they did do that.
From my perspective as a seller I just want to be patient. My pair is sitting behind only one other that's at 5.75k. The size 12's are all 6k right now. So these pairs moving at 5-5.5 actually helps sellers at the higher price as they move out (unless you assume demand at this price point is so limited only a few people are willing to buy at it).
Given that in 3 days we know they've moved at least 8 pairs for an average of 5.5k it suggests to me that the market isn't budging a whole lot. It doesn't surprise me cause the kind of buyer who will pay out at 4.5-5k isn't going to look much differently at 5.5-6k.
