Nike Air Yeezy Red October 2 Thread Officially Released VIA NDC 2/9. No BUYING/SELLING/TRADING.

Well I've had check4change running on their site as well as my own notes just out of curiosity and workplace boredom, so it's pretty easy to tell you as fact those sizes were up on the site and were taken off the site, replaced with more expensive pairs (not the other way around, as lower priced pairs hide the higher priced ones making it impossible to see). Also, most of these leading price pairs are in NY, so it's possible they've moved more pairs in-store in LA that can't be tracked. Those I know for sure were on the site though and have gone off, with the 6.5 being the latest (around 2 PM eastern).

You missed the size 10.5 that was listed at 5K. TODAY. I can tell you that for sure b/c

1)I'VE BEEN CHECKING MYSELF
2.)IT BELONGS TO SOMEONE I KNOW.
There were 2 10.5 at 5k this morning and then another got added. Haven't seen any sold unless one did and they added two. So it's possible but not something C4C caught.

Edit: you're correct. My notes show yesterday there was a 5k 10.5. This morning there were 2 5.5k 10.5's and then a third was added.

Thanks for the info. I'm just keeping tabs online from 8-5, but I'll add that 9.5 to the list. Just trying to give everyone an idea of what the market is looking like. There were at least 2 11's and a 12 that sold prior to Tuesday too, including BL's pair

I was thinking about what you said about them hiding pairs and It just dawned on me that they could possibility be selling consignment kicks for a higher price hiding the fact that it sold and then when the customer drops their price they get a higher cut. based on the dropped price and not the original price. The customer would never know because they are not showing all of the inventory as they did on the old site. They also did away with the sale history as well too. Ummmmmm

If they have your shoe it should be listed and shown. Why are they all of sudden lacking transparency?

Well that's possible but I interpret their new site as an effort to help their customers get the lowest price while not revealing how much inventory they have which keeps demand high.

If they sell for more than I consigned at, I don't care. I set a price and agreed to it, so I wouldn't be upset if they did do that.

From my perspective as a seller I just want to be patient. My pair is sitting behind only one other that's at 5.75k. The size 12's are all 6k right now. So these pairs moving at 5-5.5 actually helps sellers at the higher price as they move out (unless you assume demand at this price point is so limited only a few people are willing to buy at it).

Given that in 3 days we know they've moved at least 8 pairs for an average of 5.5k it suggests to me that the market isn't budging a whole lot. It doesn't surprise me cause the kind of buyer who will pay out at 4.5-5k isn't going to look much differently at 5.5-6k.

Suppose you bring your pair in on Saturday and list it at 6K . It shows on the site on Sat with 4 other pair listed at 6K. On Sunday nothing shows on their site listed at 6K for your size. If you don't see anything you may think your pair sold since nothing is listed. Then all of a sudden after 3PM 4 new pair in your size get listed at lower price points. Automatically you have to think your pair sold because why would it not appear on the site?

3PM Sunday is the cutoff point for any checks that will be paid out on Tuesday so if you shoe sells at 4PM you wont be notified until the following Sunday night or Monday in the AM. You don't get the email on Monday or Sunday night so just out of curiosity you call or email them on Wed to see if your pair sold. They tell you no but it did sell. They ask if you would like to drop the price and you say yes. You drop if from 6K to 5200 even though it sold already for 6K. In other words how in the hell are they listing and delisting your pairs like that just because other pairs come in a lower price points?? I hope this isn't the case, but this whole new site and not showing all the inventory doesn't sit well with me.

damn, someone offered to buy my original receipt from me, but told me to name the price?

i assume i could ask for anything for it, right?

Well here's my thought on it: what good does it do me with a 6K pair if people can see there are potentially 20 pairs in that size? I don't know how many there are, and I presume that since there's only one at 5.75k there are only 2 or 3 others at 6K with mine. But anyway, as a seller showing all of the inventory actually weakens your bargaining position. People may start to wait it out until they see more pairs dropping in price. How it's set up on the site at present, hiding that inventory until the inventory at the lowest price point sells actually protects the seller.

Now it's certainly possible that given their weekly sales emails you could call in and they could lie to you about what they sold it for, but their accounting wouldn't match up on what their commission payouts were and what their sales were. From an audit perspective it would be hard to rectify those discrepancies unless they were dealing with straight cash (with RO's I don't see that being the likely payment method, even in store).

I was definitely ticked when I saw my pair on the site and the next day it was gone, but then I realized it actually helps me as the lower priced pairs move and inventory dries up some. Let's say they have 6 pairs in my size total. Once this next one goes, everyone is back sitting at that 6K mark and what choice does the buyer have? It's a game that FC is playing which is probably why they want to be less transparent with the consumer. And if this was a consignment store without a website, your exact fear could happen anyway. "Oh we haven't sold it, you should lower the price." "Oh we sold it at that lower price in a matter of 48 hours." See what I mean? The site just helps you have some idea of what their inventory is looking like beneath you and how quickly those move is an indication of how quickly you'll get paid out higher. Given they've moved 13-15 pairs in the last week (minimum), I feel pretty comfortable with where I'm sitting. Others may feel differently.

making a fake NDC receipt is probably one of the easiest thing to do on PS.
making one, and giving someone a legit one is 2 different things, both are equally effed up, but to aide in the scam, for the sake of money because it doesnt effect you, is really some BS...  luck was on his side for this release, but there will be many sneakers released after these, and he too may be in a resale market looking, and imagine how you would feel if you were screwed over like that...

its bad mojo.. just dont do it

Regardless of your thoughts surrounding the resale of this shoe, regardless of whether you're selling or have sold your pair, aiding scammers is just taking a big fat dump all over your fellow sneaker head. For what, $50? $20? Why would you even entertain that unless you're dead broke? And if you already sold your pair, how are you dead broke? Just think about how you'd feel if you got ripped off in part because someone with a legit pair who is part of this community helped a scumbag out.

This shoe seems to bring out the worst in people. The most greed I've ever seen surrounding a shoe.

If I didn't like the way they look so much I'd have absolutely nothing to do with them. :smh:

*Waits for someone to find a way to argue with me over telling him NOT to aid the scammers, LOL!*

Lmao some dude wanted me to trade my solars and tan yeezy's for Red October's

Are your solars DS or worn?

My pair is worn, 8.5/10, and he wanted me to add $600. I said nah and didn't regret it. I can find tons of RO's yet would be challenged to find a pair of Solars again. The market for 'em is just too dry.

I'm waiting this RO hype out. I'll scoop a pair when the price gets right. Bound to find someone needing quick cash taking a lowball

Just curious how do people come up with the 8.5/10 or 9/10 rating scale? I mean is it worn one time and it automatically becomes 9/10 or what? Never understood that.

Thoes are not legit. On a side note, these red yeezys just don't appeal to me at all. I'd never ever buy a pair from e bay.
Heck, I was pissed when someone on e bay sold me fake shanghai 5 for 750. I can't imagine the utter rage I'd feel being scammed for 6 k.
There is no nike shoe worth 6k IMO.
I did get my money back from the guy. He said he thought they were legit. After nt research i e mailed him the 13 points to show fake
I really am starting to get scared of buying shoes on e bay because of all these super perfect fakes of every release now. IMO, that's ruining collecting.
