Once again that 2000 number is one line over the internet, there's no confirmation that 2000 is the real number and according to the number of pairs we see, it seems to be more than that.
 
Whose to say they didn't make 2000 pairs?  Seems like a lot canceled. 

Only 20-30 NTers got pairs from who posted, plus who knows if those celebs went through FCNY, Rif, etc.  We'd never know if they were duplicate pairs from members on here.  
 
Almost everyone on here who got them, sold them to FCNY, Rif and other consignment shops. 

Celebs are buying them and posting them on their IG's, it makes sense.  I highly doubt Nike sent out as many freebies as you think.

Please list all the celebs that you think got freebies from their IG's.  It's probably under 50.  

Most celebs probably paid FCNY for their pair or were gifted them by Kanye/Kim/designers of the shoes.  But can you really count that as Nike giving them freebies?  Kanye is known for buying up Yeezys in the past.

2000 is not much really, don't forget there's plenty of people in Europe and Asia who got a pair and who didn't post a pix on NT (plus all the people who got a pair and did not post anywhere)

i don't know any celebs that were gifted these, besides Vic Cruz and Tigger.  But you brought up the celeb angle, so i was assuming that you knew something, like inside info.

you're just speculating like the rest of us....

the 2000 number, stated by Matt Powell, has been taken as actual/factual production #s.  i tweeted him the other day and asked could he confirm that number and he replied that "it was a guess".  i posted a screenshot of that tweet pages back.

so nobody really knows. some people will stick with the 2000 number because MP said it was his guess.
 

i just tend to think there were wayyyy more, simply because the evidence is there

thats all..
 
I thought the number was more or less like 4k? I also think that seeing a lot in the streets does not mean there were a lot. I think that a good portion of them are grey market.

Matt Powell is more of an expert than we are at these things.  Plus with how Nike is, they want us to speculate. 

These were clearly limited so the 2000-3000 pairs seems on point.  

No inside info here.

Matt reports sales figures, not production numbers. So even if he had concrete sales figures it would still only represent sales and not giveaways canceled orders or production numbers as far as I know.

Matt Powell also only reports US sales numbers if I remember reading correctly.
 
^ I think you're right. So even though he offers a glimpse on info most people have no access to it's def incomplete.

A pair sold late last night or this morning for $4500, a size 9.5. Looked like someone dropped their price and it sold right away, because I don't see it anymore.
