They cancelled The messengers after like the third episode. But they will play all the messengers episodes for this season. I keep up with it.

So the guy playing Eddie Thawne has left the show for good, stating personal reasons but is now going to be a series regular on the upcoming ABC show Quantico as a genius former lawyer (I think it was lawyer).

So he's definitely dead and not coming back as Zoom or any other bad guy and actually was pretty useless like Eobard said
