The Flash (CW Series) thread, season 9

"What's fun about this show is that there's going to be multiple timelines as we move forward," Gustin revealed. "I think we're going to start showing Earth-One and Earth-Two in the near future. There will be kind of different dimensions going on."

I like having the darker batman and superman but that flash movie should have Wally being the love able flash.

Also I watched the super girl trailer and it's like superman x the devil wears prada

Just yesterday I saw a title of an article that said something to the extent of so and so talks about how Flash in the movie will have a different take and be very different from the Flash tv show

I just  :smh:

"We’re trying to break a story. It’s interesting, because there’s a really popular TV show out there, and we’re trying to carve out space for the movie that’s apart from that. I think we’re doing alright. … I believe [our Flash] is going to be Barry Allen. … It’s going to be it’s own [thing, apart from the TV show] — we’re more trying to stick with the cinematic universe… it really is its own thing, and kind of a stand-alone movie. We’re just trying to think of the best story. I think you guys will like it, it’s kind of a different take on superhero stuff."

I think the only way those films get the ax is if BvS and JL films bombs.

I don't think JL have to bomb, but under perform

when you read about how quickly and haphazardly these people were cast announcing those films screamed PR move rather than real intentions to produce something. I just think those will be first to go when the going if the going gets even slightly tough.

I have always thought Wally was the more interesting speedster. I really hit my comic collecting stride after Crisis on Infinite Earths so Wally defined Flash for me. Wally trying be a hero in the shadow of Barry was more interesting IMO.

This show is hitting the nail on the head when it comes to The Flash. Going in a "different direction" would mean going away from the character. Unless you are making a movie about another Flash like Jay or Wally that strategy is setting yourself up for failure.
You might not know but the movie Flash will have nothing to do with the show. Different guy cast by Barry and everything. That Flash is set in the same universe as the events of MOS and BvS and suicide Squad.

It's because of that ppl will definitely make comparisons of the Flash everybody got to see on the tv show first.

I read this, think about what the CW just did with The Flash and then I finally think about the tone already set in MOS and what will sure to be continued in BvS and can only come to the conclusion based off what's said here is that "be it's own thing, apart from the TV show", "trying to stick with the cinematic universe", "a different take on superhero stuff." all mean that movie Flash will be slitting throats at mach 2 speeds. It's gonna be as grounded and dark as anything else so far. Who knows the first threat movie Flash might face are two black holes taring apart the world while he time travels to the future and past with faux moral dilemmas when it comes to killing.

However if they were smart which I don't think they are but they are lazy, they'd make movie Flash's personality a copy of Spider-Man's and just keep it that way.

No, I'm aware of all of this. I'm saying that the show is portraying the character so well, going totally different is not a great concept to me. When I say the character, I mean Barry Allen the character....not just who he is on the television show. I'm not sure how Barry would fit into this DCMU without being darker, but The Flash has never really been a dark figure. However, I can't see Ezra Miller as Barry either so I guess we will see.

The actor playing the flash in the movie looks so lame and frail.
But didn't some people say that about Gustin when it was announced that he was playing the Flash? And look how wonderful he turned out.  I think people should just wait until the movie comes out before they judge.

I dunno, I know I didn't say it. Flash is supposed to be lean but ezra miller looks like a twig.

Just watched the finale

@ Garrick's helmet popping out of the wormhole and Wells being shook. That's the least scariest of the flashes. I'd rather run up on him than barry, bart or wally.

Movie Flash is going to be a bigger hit with the fans than movie Superman Batman Wonder Woman

Quote me

Henry Cavill has the personality of a stick

I like Gal, but I just don't know about her as WW

Battfleck has a chance to shine

Khal Aquaman will outshine them all. Riding seahorses and getting hot mermaid yambs and murking fools with the trident.

I haven't seen any recent pics of her as they mentioned she was gaining weight/training for the role, but she is so frail....not what I picture an Amazon Warrior to be.

 Sorry bruh, you sounding extra delusional.

It's Batman. The most successful superhero franchise WB has. Not only will they put Battfleck movies in the right position to succeed I'm pretty sure after BvS there's gonna be clear set up for another trilogy.

You actually think the Flash who has never had a movie is going to be a bigger hit with fans than Batman? Based off what? The Flash tv show? Even though the studios guys say it'll be pretty much way different than the show? You must come from another universe where Flash is a top 3 superhero favorite. Talking about Battfleck has a chance to shine   :smh:

The muscle mass or build doesn't really translate to strength when it comes to comics though.

The biggest concern is definitely her acting chops than anything.

Linda Carter is like scrawnier than Gadot I think, Jamie Alexander (Lady Sif) is just as skinny as Gadot and seems like she is fanboys #1 choice.

Yeah, Jamie is looking real skinny nowadays. Comicbookgirl19 posted a vid complaining how Gal doesn't have big muscles so how are we supposed to believe her punches would even hurt anyone. I commented that she already has super strength so the muscles don't matter. Plus if you look at some of the hard hitters in mma and boxing a lot of them are the leaner guys. Of course another female replied to my comment and ignored the jnfo I posted and just agreed with cbgirl19 because she also doesn't know what she's talking about.
