Haaaaaaa.

You guys always complain about NYC.
COME to San Fran.

(I also believe SF just passed NYC as much expensive place to live in the US)

I pay $4089 for a 1br in the financial district.
Studios in my building go for $3k easy

But we do have a nice view
BUT NO AMMENITIES

Price is fair for the retnal that Op posted, but I'd need a brownstone or better to even consider NY.

Down South, you can easily OWN 2500 square ft + for $1300 a month.

for a little more, you can get a nice spot in Hoboken overlooking NYC. just saying

I love NYC to death but I've been thinking about MIA heavy i love the city... But i don't think anywhere is gonna be like NYC

I used to spend summer + winters vacations in Miami as a young'n because I have fam there.

Loved it. Always wanted to live there.

Moved there for a job. Lived there 3 years. Couldn't wait to get the **** out.

Let's just say, it's a nice place to visit......

Ya really missing the point of why this studio is priced so high
your paying well over $30,000  a year to live inside of a small room in the business district

newark new jersey is 23 minutes away ...location is the most important

factor in real estate but you cant be giving up that much , you're living in a tree house

plus new york city has a world class public transit system , that doesnt necessarily mean location is void but damn

you like 12 minutes from harlem
 the mta is garbage

not about that waiting for 15+ minutes for a ride life. MTR>MTA

NY Nters, so if you're in your mid-late 20s, got around $2700 a month to spend on rent and wanna be close to everything (girls, gym, grocery store, metro, bars, comedy clubs, good restaurants) what neighborhood are you choosing? LES? Midtown? UES? Harlem? Brooklyn?

Just looking for a cool spot, not rundown, not too hipster, but nothing too yuppie/bourgeous (sp?) tho, if that's possible. Was thinking about moving to the city for a year or so just to see what it's about.

That's the vibe I always got. Like if you're not living that south beach, balling out lifestyle what's the point

What the hell are you even talking about. NYC public transportation runs like clockwork.

If I was single I would definitely live on the LES.

I live on the UES and there are a lot of bars, but downtown would be my choice.

Not sure what the rent looks like though.

im in brooklyn near the N,Q,R,D lines and it sucks. you want to know what first class public transportation is, go to hong kong where the waits are 2 minutes at all times.

No ******** in my area 2700 a month gets u a 5 bedroom 4 bath room (not sure of the sq ft) house in the best suburb in michigan. That's ridiculous man no excuses for that ****.

I hope u guys understand that the only ppl paying 2700 are the ones who work across the street making more than 10gs

Michigan

I've actually always liked Detroit. Word to the Toy Chest, Landing Strip and all that.

But come on.....

This thread happens every couple weeks where some insignificant dude living in an insignificant city feels insecure and needs to take shots at New York to justify their situation and life choices. No one in New York cares about any of you other guys.

Who's justifying their situation?

The guy paying their entire paycheck to live in an expensive *** room for "the view" or the guy that lives comfortably and can travel whenever?

Dont you hippies like Yoga? how can yall even stretch in them cots

Its 2014 nobody envies New Yorkers and your medium sodas anymore.

Good look man, I've had a couple different people tell me about LES, and a couple about East Village too, I heard those spots are kinda gentrified now though? But I guess I might start looking around that area first.

So where do you suggest and what are the rents looking like over there?

It ain't even close to that serious bruh. It's culture shock really, $2700 can go a long way in alot of other places in the US.
