NIKE AIR MAG 2015

WHAT WORKING PERSON IS PAYING 4K FOR SHOES... IF THATS THE PRICE RETAIL OR NOT FORGET IT

Original auction prices. They will be done this way again. Totally kills resell 100%. Guys claiming they miss last second bids are doing it wrong.

You put in a bid for the top dollar your willing to pay. You either get them for less than or equal to that, or you miss out. end of story

Thank you for this my good man. I remember seeing this way back when. I also was salty that I won my pair on Day 1...and had I waited till like day 4 or 5...I could have gotten 2 pairs for what I paid for 1 (size 8) oh well.

And as @jayli stated, unless I READ or HEAR anything directly from NIKE...nothing in this thread will make me think otherwise.

Exactly, it`ll be a major disappointment if Nike lets down the millions of people truly wanting this shoe except celebrities and super rich people...

I still don't know why people think Nike is in the business of "pleasing people". You see it every Saturday at 8am...millions of pissed off cats who miss out on whatever release dropped that day...and then...those SAME pissed off cats...come BACK the very next week to try again. Nike has to please NOBODY and they STILL come back for more. I expect no less when the actual release details come through.

And I am neither rich or a celebrity and I was able to get a pair in 2011. IJS... :nerd:

Millions of people want ferraris, few own them. Ferrari does not care, nor does Nike

of course you guys are right, I`m just whining cause this is one of the most important releases to me and I hope that with this release, they`ll try to make ********s of profit by making it a gr instead of using limited quantities to increase the hype around their brand name...Dc30, simply lumping celebrities and super rich people together was overgeneralizing of course but I hope you see where I`m coming from. You owning a pair makes you then either a) crazy or b) clever

I totally see what you're saying. Many of us want to see the best possible release for the public, whether it's BTTF fans or sneaker heads. Now while the tactics of the original release soured some people, the charity idea really transcended a regular release and most people couldn't have a legitimate gripe. I was able to use the business credit card and use the purchase as a tax write off as a charitable donation. So I guess that makes me clever? Lol.

I know a lot of us are going to be disappointed when Nike gives us full details, but I'm pretty much saying nobody here should be disappointed or surprised when it comes out.

shoe is cool but not over 300 retail cool, they're a novelty item.

i like the idea behind it and all the little details but thats where it stops, i wouldn't be caught dead rockin these if you gave em to me.

tbh if i got these i too would be trying to make money off of them.

i hope the real fans are able to get a pair for an acceptable price.

These would be dope just to have, not 100 if i'd ever wear them, but just to own a pair would be pretty legit. Thinking 300 would be the max i'd be willing to pay... maybe 350

But they could make roughly the same amount of money limiting them to 100k pairs and pricing them at $500 a pop. Or if they really wanted to jack up the profit margin, just up the amount of pairs. Whether the object this time around is to make money or raise money for charity, they would be more successful in both by releasing more pairs at a lower price.

Increasing the number of pairs does not increase the margin. If they wanted to maximize the profits/charitable funds raised, they would sell all 100k pairs in a silent dutch auction format - my guess is the clearing price would still be much higher than $500, keeping in mind that this release will attract interest from so many segments of the population.

My point is that Nike clearly isn't focused on maximizing their profit on any one shoe as they believe the hype/buzz is far more valuable.

It'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy that in 2015, people will walk around looking like McFly

Good point.

To me, it's just a movie prop shoe. If I had them I would only want Michael J. Fox to sign them and it would be a display piece. That's it.

I'd wear them everyday. That's what shoes are meant for , to be worn. But I guess it's just a matter of personal taste. Hell , they don't look any worse than some of the other shoes I see out there.
