Hoping resell on the first release goes down. If so then I will bow out of auctions whenever the price for the 2016 pair is > than the 2011 pair.

I don't think the 2011 prices will ever go down though. The shoe is just too limited whether it's autolacing or not.

Yeah, I'm dead 50/50 on this. I have my numbers ready just in case. But if Nike made no mention to 2011 I wouldn't be surprised at all. And I'm not saying dibs or anything like that. Could be something as simple as emailing out the 2016 auction info ahead of time or something like that.
Many people wouldn't want to lose what they paid on them. So unless you have someone real desperate to off their pair I don't see too many "deals" happening. But hey...as proven yesterday, stranger things have happened.

I hit 2 Starbucks that each had 1, copped em.
Called 4 Starbucks and they said they were all out.

Had to go to 5 different stores but finally found a USA Today at Walgreens. Now I just need my Pepsi Perfect to arrive and the NikeLab Bruins and I'll be set.

I know what rep company you are talking about. If they could get pretty close to making authentic looking Red Octobers, then anything is possible.
A high quality replica Mag is probably one of the few shoes that i would willingly buy. If I had $10k, i wouldnt spent it on a pair of shoes. I'd put it towards a smart investment or either make a substantial payment to my student loans.

I looked yesterday some time, but I didn't see bids on many. Maybe it was before Kimmel aired.
Its gonna fetch big bux regardless, but man I sure hope they improve it. It seems so whimpy compared to the movie :\

The OG Bruin had nike on the tongue and heel correct? The one Marty wore did not? I was meaning to pay attention to that in the theater last night but dont remember. I do remember on part 3 when one of Madogs's crime partners mentions the Nike (nee kay) writing on Marty's shoes. I do see the Bruins that are being released have no Nike branding aside from the swoosh.

The director had the OG Bruins MJF wore remove all the Nike branding on the tongue and heel.

Yeah the self lacing did look lackluster. Its like the lacing in the movie was MJ in his prime and what we saw yesterday was MJ circa 2003.

I think we should call it Power Lacing, there's nothing auto about having to hold a button for the laces to tighten up.

there's no real detail to the lacing technology, but in the first video, the girl told MJF when you put pressure on your heel, it starts tightening, maybe the buttons can set it at a certain profile.
