NIKE AIR MAG 2015

UK reps are renown for giving wrong info.
Impossible to know how many pairs they had, kills me when people drop numbers. First someone said only 500, now it's 352

fo real, didn't someone post a rep saying 134 pairs were sold or something as well

Reps are all over the place with solid info!

They should have made these widely available since the Mags will be so hard to get, at least give the fans something.

Checked Nike lab at 8:57am GMT and they were not available yet. Checked again at 9:01am and they were out of stock already. Unbelievable.

I disagree, NT isn't at the forefront of purchasing limited items lol, giving NT too much importance right now.[/quote]

Never said we were at the forefront lol. However, i did say we're most likely ahead of the BTTF super fans, who only look forward to a limited BTTF product once in a blue moon (last i remember it was the official Mattel hoverboard awhile ago), while we have limited products to buy every week. I'm sure the dudes on Slickdeals are closer to the forefront than us.

That's beside the point though, all i was trying to say that was that everyone has a price they're willing to pay for something they really want, so dont knock them for paying that price. Sucks for them though, i know the feeling of missing out on something and having to pay resale value. It is what it is, always money to be made nowadays and i cant knock the hustle.

I'm interested in knowing that as well
technically the entire amount is a write off due to the fact that it is donation to a charity...

To put it in perspective you are basically writing a check to MJF Foundation for $X and they are giving you a pair of sneakers for free....

It would be no different then walking in church and writing a check...the IRS allows you a maximum of 50% of your AGI to be donated (which ain't none of us in this bracket)....but MJF Foundation is supposed to give you a letter of value that they place on the item and you deduct that from the amount contributed and technically that is your write off...But I don't think anyone does this...

damn i should have copped on DSM and SJS. Both releases i could have copped easy.

Who the hell out here paying 500+ for bruins

The connection to BttF would have been enough to move them....everything related to the movie is hot right now. People are running around buying up USA TODAYS. These would have sold.

So if these would have hit Footlocker you really think they would have sold well? Its the Forrest Gump cortez all over again... I hate Cortez but I actually wanted those as soon as I saw the announcement just because I loved that movie as a child but of course it went to NikeLab and sold out instantly. Had they went to FTL, FA and Champs I'm sure they would have sat for quite a while... no one gives a damn about Bruins  Nike knows what they're doing.

I love the BTTF series but I honestly didn't even make the connection to the movie when I saw the tweet, I was wondering why the hell a plain *** Bruin was dropping on NikeLab.

I'm not saying release them in Christmas Jordan numbers. Just because you didn't make the connection doesn't mean others didn't or couldn't. The fact that they ARE super limited of course they will end up on the secondary market.

Oh well...not like this is a shocker.

Yeah Im not saying everyone wouldn't, that was just my personal view on seeing the release... but to the 2 groups of people you would need to sell these to: Nike fans and BTTF fans you'd need that overlap of both to move these, I don't think its iconic enough to move on its own considering when most think of the Nike from BTTF2 its usually the grey one with lights... I would actually like a pair of the Bruins just for the collector aspect same as the Cortez, I would never pay a dollar over retail nor wear either shoe but they both have cool history.

Definitely not a shocker coming from Nike

I was able to get the Vandals that Kyle Reese wore in Terminator pretty easy and they sold out in a few days on nikelab. I don't know the numbers on them, but I feel like they probably made more and the hype wasn't on the franchise even with a new movie releasing the same time as BttF has right now.

The Bruin just seems like a really half assed release they're trying to get out the door. A few hundred pairs = just enough to cash in on the hype without spending too much time on it

Someone said they were trying to secure rights to use things like the clear receipt. My guess is they couldn't get the rights, which is why there's no mention of BTTF at all. They're just using NikeLab to make up for the hype.
