NOT REALLY FAIR, SINCE THOSE WITH MORE DISPOSABLE INCOME WILL HAVE BETTER ODDS. GOOD FOR THE CHARITY THOUGH.

About as fair and reasonable as it can be. Raises a ton of money. The regular person can still own it. Keeps the allure of the shoe for the future where they can do this every five years if they want to

Maybe unfair because this completely eliminates people from using semi-autonomous means to purchase?

Imagine they get 10,000,000 entries at $10 per entry, if they let the raffle run for 2-3 weeks. That is $100,000,000 towards the MJF Foundation, which way more than they collected in 2011.

So a $100,000,000 for charity and a lucky winner can receive Air Mags for as low as $10. It's a win win for everyone.

Completely agree.   I don't remember what the numbers were for the 2011 auctions but I'm sure there were plenty of bids, so you had that many people willing to pay XXXX dollars until they got outbid, which is then the shame because the charity doesn't get that money.

^^^ That pic is from like last year. Things have probably changed.

But I like the idea of a lottery type release. As everyone's already said, in theory it should raise alot more money than simply auctioning off the pairs.

As for the "unfairness" regarding people who will drop thousands of dollars in tickets having a better chance, I don't think that will be the case. Technically they will have a better chance, but only a few percentage points more than someone who only buys 1 ticket. Not something that will give them a significant advantage.

I don't want to donate $100. I'm comfortable with donating $10. I'm feeling lucky...punk.

Why don't they just release them for $500/pair via NikeID like they did for the championship Lebrons?

Because then they can't do this every couple years. Sad to say that people ain't donating unless a prize is attached

I never said that but if you want to paint that narrative

Good portion of these entries going to come from people who want to resell these. Simple as that. Most of these will not be worn by the original winner. They're going to get sold to someone who can afford them at auction
