I think they have a plan on where it will go but I think they still haven't been written so there are plenty of details that are unknown.

I'm sure Joss already has plans and ideas for A3 but I am sure he will move on to another project after AoU plus there were already rumors of Gunn taking over Avengers3 a week or so back.
 
**** all dem rumors. He can do Avengers 4. I need trilogies out of  these directors. Why stop at 2?

Hope those are just rumors about gunn.
 
Gunn is probably just a back up plan if Whedon doesn't want to do the 3rd or is asking for too much money, Marvel loves not paying their guys
 
Not one person is going to beat Thanos. It's going to be a combined effort. I'm just nervous about how they're going to use him when it comes to them battling. Like they aren't gonna be throwing  paunches or anything, so whuhh dey gon do?

Some will try and throw punches at him especially Hulk and Thor. You gon' see IM trying to blast him, Hawkeye with his incredible arrows, Black Widow with her.... ummmm... Quicksilver with his speed, Drax with his favorite knife, Groot with his stumps, etc...

Drax and Groot? Wat you tryna say?

How does Thanos fight? Will he be like Ronan on roids and just toss people around?
 
He fights hand to hand and could handle anything thrown at him. He has the power cosmic, could manipulate matter, magic wielder, telepathic and could use telekinesis. He is also a genius and a great strategist.

You really can't beat him physically, you kind of have to trick him or make a more creative way by using the stones/gauntlet against him or trick him or use his arrogance against him or his relationship with death, etc...

In the comics, which I believe were from the Infinity Gauntlet arc, someone said that deep down inside he always allowed himself to be beaten because he knows he isn't worthy of so much power.


I'm sure someone who are more knowledgeable could chime in and provide better details.
