WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Aint no way Whedon doesn't do A3 unless he happens to want to do another solo Marvel movie.

Of course this isn't the only thing he can do I'm sure he has other stuff of his own and just other things from tv to maybe even back to comics he'd want to do.

I'm all for Whedon moving on after A3, I can't expect him to do Marvel movies forever. But the guy just needs to see this trilogy through lol

I never said he owned anyone anything. If he stopped now I would be disappointed but I wouldn't hold it against him.

I'm just a big fan of him and want to see how he has envisioned the trilogy to end.

He doesnt owe anyone anything. He has done enough.

I wish him the best and will definitely see what he does next.
Yes he does. No he hasn't.

I think yall kinda just fooling yourselves thinking he's not returning for A3 anyway. At this point yall need to create some type of speculation and drama. Might as well go be a DC fan.

It was just one of those rumors floating around. I don't even think anyone's trying to create drama, the rumor was definitely reported around SDCC and part of the discussion.

I just assumed that Joss would be back for a third. Maybe I should also ask, is it a lock that A3 will be the Infinity Gauntlet story arc? It was never that great of a story, but that fourth issue was epic. If they replicate at least 3-4 of Thanos' kills I'd be satisfied.

I thought he'd be back for a third as well but I aint a lame who thinks these movie creators owe us anything. They should typecast themselves just for your connivence?

No. I'm in the belief that Thanos comes to Earth himself to get the last one, or two. Either it be the Tesseract, or there's another gem on Earth that we don't know about yet. I believe he'll try to get it, but ultimately be defeated for the time being.

If the guesses are correct, the Collector has the reality stone/aether.

If I am not mistaken I believe whedon said in an interview that he himself wanted thanos in avengers1. I can't see him not directing avengers3 hope he stays.

I don't understand why folks are nervous about Whedon not returning.

Marvel will do for him what they did to lock RDJ: offer obscene amounts of money. Add to this the natural fit there is with him and the Marvel universe (e.g. humor, free creativity reins, etc.).

It also looks like he has other projects that he can fund on his own with his Marvel pay.

That's how I want Cap to go

Just watched GOTG for the 2nd time.. would be cool if we get a Thanos movie ..dude's presence in the movie is just impeccable

Okay so according to the comic book section of reddit, they are saying what I used to say, that the Staff is NOT a gem.

Hints:
When black widow shut down the tesseract, she used the staff and the doctor said "it can't protect against itself". Which makes sense since it is the same color.
Like I said before they said in some way or another, rather explicitly, that the staff is powered by the cube.
How would the mind gem give Scarlet and Quick their powers (I thought this was weak since the movie aint out yet)
Loki's power include psionics and misdirection, this could just amplify those powers.
When the collector was explaining the gems, they were all different colors.
There is NO WAY Thanos would give Loki a gem, even for the promise of another one.

Which made me go back to believing that Marvel did not intend to do the infinity gauntlet stuff until after the success of the avengers and decided the cube was a gem after the fact. It's used pretty inconsistently. How would they make energy weapons out of the space gem?

It seems to me like they aint confirming it as the mind gem until they are sure they don't have a clever way to introduce the mind gem.
