WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Been lurking in this thread and the GOTG thread and keeping reading the dislike for Thor 2, which I thought was really good, and I'm curious as to why people think it sucked so bad?

The villain was good, action was great, Loki had a hell of a performance, it was emotional with the mom dying, and I enjoyed the plot bringing Thor and Loki together to fight in her name. I see a lot of hate for the human characters but other than Darcy and her intern Selvig and Jane played huge parts. Did their presence really downgrade the movie that much to you guys? Honest question, I'm just really curious as to why the movie is hated.

THIS. You really got a feel for Thor and Loki's dynamic as brothers. Especially after the events of Avengers the movie was able to still portray them as family first when **** got real but showed that once they clean up their mess they still have their own agendas. Thor's as midguard's protector and Loki as the selfish trickster god. Thor and Loki tag team :smokin

Loki posing as Odin and the end credits start rolling with that amazing artwork....that pic of Loki on the Asgard throne :wow: chills man, so so dope!

If they give him more money and part of the box office, there will be an IM4

That's probably the biggest problem breh. He wasn't good. He was meh. No backstory, nothing interesting about him. Of course Loki is great. He's always great. And the interactions between him and Thor are always my favorite moments, especially when he turned into Cap. The Earth scenes are bringing these films down a huge notch. The Earth scenes were needed in the first film, second not so much. The plot was very average as well. For me, it's not a bad movie, but so far, Thor is the only one to not have a great solo film. And it's a shame because he has the most potential out of them all.

I guess that's a fair analysis. I'm probably a little bias because I view Thor as having the coolest superpowers out of the Avengers ( the lightning and hammer is so :pimp:) though I can admit he has not had the best films. Have high hopes for the third one assuming they don't change directors again as I think the director of the second was able to bring a more mature and darker tone to the series and that made it way better than the first.

I hope they don't go the Surtur route, but they probably will. We don't need many more earth-realm destroying threats. Make it more personal. Have Enchatress and the Executuioner in there and save Surtur for the fourth, if there is a fourth.

^ I assume if they do surtur, it will be him attacking asgard and loki not being able to handle it... so asgard is in serious trouble forcing thor to return

I just wish it all would have been set up in part 2, with the enchantress and executioner.. maybe have them lose to thor, then out of desperation go to surtur.. or they ally up with loki and he betrays them after he gets what he wants and then enchantress goes to surtur and tells him what happened with odin

Brolin confirms at least 3 Thanos appearance.

“I know what one appearance is going to be for sure,” Brolin tells the outlet. “There’s one or two that I don’t know.”

The one he is sure of is likely GotG2(?) and one of them has to be A3 which could be the last of those 3 appearances (though these appearances might not even count for his biggest role in A3). The other/third appearance is anyone's guess.

Thanos isn't going to die, at least I don't think so. He'll be sent away or be trapped somewhere but he won't be killed.

He's going to be one of those lingering threats, just like Ultron would/could be, Ultron is like Brainiac, they just download a little bit of themselves into anything with a cpu and they'd linger there til they hatch a plan to get stronger and be a threat again.

Why does Thanos have to die? Would be cool seeing a team up Thanos, Ultron and another villain

The Avengers might as well quit and find other jobs if they have to fight those 2 and another villain at the same time.

I honestly don't even want an IM4. Those movies have only got worse. 4 will showcase ironman never in a suit and even more depressed. He will go up against an actor of an actor. No more war machine, instead more super pepper!

5 years of build up to end in a draw? Hell no

I want him dead
Soooooooo you're honestly expecting Thanos to die in his first appearance?

Want? Expect? Ehhh. Still ridiculous to want Thanos of all villains to die. That would be worse than the Mandarin treatment. I would convert to a hardcore DC stan if that happens

Worse than mandarin? Naw you reaching now bruh

 @ Thanos has to die. Since when has death stopped Thanos? You'd be better off trapping him somewhere or stranding him in an alt universe so he could be somebody else's problem. Kill him and he will return.

We've still haven't heard any thing about the Dr. Strange film
NYCC :smokin

Pretty obvious to me that Steve Rogers is going to die attempting to kill thanos.

bucky finds the stregth to take on the mantle and complete the job, giving chris evans a way out.

Yeah, I wish they didn't give thanos pupils for the film.

I loved his design in guardians but that and his shoulder pads being small were the first things that stood out. I didn't mind the pupils at the end of avengers but nah, he don't need em. It makes him look more menacing

When you're a boss, you send others to do the small work. When they keep ******* up, that's when you get your hands dirty.

I could see thanos dying but not in the 1st appearance

If so that movie better be almost 3hrs long.

It would make more sense of they broke A3 with a part 1 & 2
