Cloned thunder gods?

I'm really out of the loop when it comes to the comic arcs lol

I'm curious as to how they will play Thor after Age of Ultron. Like will Chris Hemsworth be Ragnarok as well? Will they even go that route? They can have him in Asgard for Thor 3 and on Earth as well for the Civil War but are audiences ready for cloned Thunder gods? So. Much. Excitement!

I'm pretty sure they're not going the cloned Thor route at all.

If they do a Civil War movie it'll be Civil War in name only. There'll be a conflict that splits the group and ppl will take sides that's about it. They're not killing Goliath (probably kill some new hero they introduce), there won't be a high security prison in another dimension (probably just a gov't prison or the Cube or the Raft), etc.

Just like Age of Ultron is not gonna be based off the comics at all.

It's the name of the cloned cyborg Thor.

but since the title is mentioned I doubt they'll go Ragnarok in Asgard yet. Still other **** to explore. I see them only doing that unless they want to take Thor off the board or go really big and finally make a great Thor movie.

How do you all keep up with these events if they are not combined in one big book ? I read the entire Avengers x Xmen book ..is there one book similar to that for Civil War ?

There should be. There is a trade for pretty much every event and story arc.

Sometimes, for the story arcs, they aint in hardcover (bothers some people)

Also there is reading orders online. The trades don't usually cover every single issue of every single comic that crossed over since most of them are not necesary. Depending on how deep you want to get into the story you might have to look into that. For instance the Infinity trade only has Avengers, Infinity, and New Avengers comics. None of the extra stuff from other comics like Nova or Guardians of the Galaxy. Sometimes they are fun reads but for gist of the main story, they aint necessary but it answers what other characters that weren't central to the plot were doing.

Few people read every comic that crosses with an event anyway. Most just read whichever comics they happen to be reading at the time.

You just follow the monthly titles and when an event comes follow that along with the tie-ins if you want. The big 2 are really specific about announcing these events months in advance and if you go to a comic shop they'll have most of the info you'd need to know. If you don't you can always check a comic book site for all the info and more since there's interviews with creators and editors.

It is an easier read though if you just get the events in trade or one big omnibus format. So I can see why you prefer that

And yes there is a Civil War omnibus. Should be able to order online. Might be out of print in stores though since it's almost 10 years old now. There's omnibus versions for all of these other events ppl are suggesting as well for the most part.

Go back and read X-Men: Schism to see what's wrong with Cyclops.

I never liked him since he was just a lame boy scout without the other Superman powers. I thought he was a wimp and lame but even though I still don't care for him after Decimation he grew a backbone and became a real leader and I liked this path he was on that mirrored Magneto a bit. Made him interesting at least but then he took it too far in Schism.

Scarlet and Quick are my two most anticipated characters AoU can't get here fast enough. Hopefully the rumors about the trailer airing in front of Big Hero 6 or Interstellar are true. Then we should see it on the internet within the next two weeks.

i dont like what ive seen of scarlett witch and quicksilver so far i dont see how they fit in with avenger as well as battle Ultron vision i understand but black panther is wasting away....why not use ms marvel luke cage wonder man or ronin .....well maybe not ronin just yet  sentry would be dope....
