Also Whedon already said he didn't want to add more character whose only power is punching people. As far as visual effects there is no difference between Ms. Marvel and Tony Stark nor is there any difference between BP or Luke Cage and the rest of the team.

I think A2 will make a lot of mention of how other heroes are amongst them. Between Scarlett and quicksilver, Avengers Academy and what we perceive will be the ending which is the falling out of cap and tony and cap making his own team, the cameo's and Easter eggs we'll get in A2 will be crazy
 
Scarlet and Quick will be the closest we will get to X-Movies done right. Black Panther cameo/easter egg scene will be sweet. Hulkbuster vs Hulk will have me recontemplating life. This movie can't come soon enough.

ASM2'S production budget was 30 million higher than Gotg's and it had an advertising budget that was almost as much as its production budget

Sony was hoping that is sequel was going to hit the 1 bil mark

I don't think Marvel's expectations were quite that high considering the GotG movie was a high risk release

Son is really comparing Guardians to a Spider-Man movie :smh:

Like he's just not ready to accept how much SONY has been dropping the ball.

spiderman is also one of if not the most popular marvel characters, no one knew who the GOTG were before the movie

rhino had no business in the movie.

needed more goblin fight scene.

would of made it a solid 7/8.
 
You got to look at it from sony's point of view too. They were hoping that asm2 would reach as high as it could so it could use Spiderman as a springboard for an expanded universe. With Spiderman continuing to trend downwards financially (compared to the Sam Raimi movies) they've got to realize that's not realistic.

GotG doesn't have to be the springboard of anything, they're just the icing on a really large cake
 
Yes ASM 2's budget was extremely high ( and the effects reflected that) but I fully understand that ASM 2 didn't do for Sony what was intended

Which is why marvel is about to rectify that. I really want to see Garfield along side Evans and Downey :D

James gunn tweeted a pick of Gamora cleaning up. They didnt waste money if they didnt have to. FOX splurged.

I actually laughed a lot more in ASM2 but I digress. Guardians were way cooler when no one cared about them.
 
i mean talk about weakest evil plan for a villain in movie history... spiderman had to give everything he had to stop django from......... turning the lights off in NYC

they had to throw in that scene with the plane about to crash or something (i honestly dont remember) just to show why the power going off would be such a bad thing

GOTG was great because they focused on making a great movie. ASM2 was trash because they didnt care about making a good movie, they just wanted to set up all the sequels and spinoffs
