WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

What he is saying(i think) is that adult spidey in the movies and young spidey on his own show.

Wouldnt make sense since the Defenders is confirmed to be in the same universe. That would mean there are two spideys around.

I defintitely want to see miles. Just have ultimate amadeus cho rip a wormhole between the universes so Miles can hop back and forth. Not sure I want to see multiple spideys on screen at once in any given moment. Maybe. Id need convincing.

Yeah I wasn't saying that at all. Nobody want Miles. Great character, but Peter has tons of stories to be told before this guy enters pre-production.

Marvel's casting skews older. I think the youngest is Scarlett Johnassen but she's always seemed older than her age.

Teenage Spidey is the only way to go IMO...the young web slinger taking names along side Cap and Tony :pimp: be nice to see spidey be all star struck with Cap like in EMH

You want him after Infinity War?

Just Black Widow Spidey in these phase 3 movies putting him in wherever he's needed and after phase 3 there can be a solo movie about him mentoring Miles Morales and grooming him to spearhead the next generation

Im in no rush to see another spidey movie, even one made by Marvel. Being done right is how Marvel has such a loyal fanbase.

Done right >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> done as early as possible.

Black widowing him wouldnt work because black widow has been poppin up in places where they need an agent of shield or next to cap, where she belongs. Is spidey supposed to swing in front of Surtur and save the day? He just knows Thor on that level?

The only place it could've worked, with good writers, is Civil War and they have already said it wont happen in time.
Broaden your mind bro. I'm not against doing it right. I expect that from Marvel but if they wanted to do take the Black Widow approach with Spidey, it'd probably start with the netflix series. All types of great team ups with DD and Luke. He'd pop in and out of each show on a cameo status hopefully like in the comics where it'd be a Iron Man comic and as he's flying in NYC you can see Spidey swinging off buildings in the background. Just gradually involve him in more street level stuff. If they had time it'd make sense for him to show up in a Cap movie. Doubtful but he could even show up in an AOS ep.

ehh Don't really have interest in teenage Spidey..

Rather see Peter been 22+.. out of college and flat broke

Me too. Don't need to see Peter Parker in high school forever. He's been a high school student in the 2 series of movies already.

THE worst thing you can do with a character is make them a mother ******* teenager. Look at how horrible xmen played out, asm 1-2. Cmon man

Neither of them had any say so from the Gawds at Marvel. My boi has become one of the greatest heroes partly due to what went on in his life as a teenager, and it hasn't been done justice yet. He doesn't have to stay one forever.

It just wouldn't make sense for Spidey to be a teenager if you're Marvel.

He would look out of place at a table with all them older heads lol. Gyllenhaal would absolutely belong at that table. Some young guy, like let's say Logan Lerman - would stick out.

It'll definitely make sense. It's not the only way of representing him of course, but it'll make sense.

The problem with teen characters is that they fall victim to cliché teen problems that we've seen played out a million times. We get it, high school and heroes = easy laughs and over the top "drama"

Spidey doesn't have to be old, old

Best compromise is probably a mid twenty ish college student

These days tons of people are in college till their mid twenties

Look at The Flash. The show has a young, relatable feel, but all the main characters are out of school in their early to mid twenties

The latest generation of early twenty year olds are basically overgrown teens

*

And no, I'm not saying Gyllenhaal would be that twenty something year old. They'd need to cast someone else.

Pretty much. No matter what twist you add to it, it's always the same. ASM proved this.

Peter could be a teenager in college tho

I'm sure the idea is just to have him be younger then everybody else so far in the MCU

Spider Man 2 is still the best balance of him being young and dealing with his normal life and life as a superhero

Just how much of Peter Parker's normal life do people really care about anyway.

We get huge doses of that in ASM.
