WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Man. I'm not going to know who to root for during Civil War, now that I think about it.

I guess I'll just root for the team that has Spiderman
'Tis a hard issue to side with.

On one hand, keeping a secret identity can do more harm than good, but if the villains would get hold of those identities, all hell would break loose.

Spider-Man is a prime example of this.

Remember Spider-Man:Back in Black?

The war can't be over secret identities. I bet it's over natural resource, like vibranium or something like that.

From what I've read, it's about registration.

The issue of secret identities is just one reason for people to be against it.

No, I haven't read that. I have A LOT of catching up to do.

"Spider-Man: Back in Black" is a five-part 2007 Marvel Comics storyline written by J. Michael Straczynski and illustrated by Ron Garney (penciler), Bill Reinhold (inker), Matt Milla (colorist) and VC's Cory Petit (letterer). All parts were published in the comic book series The Amazing Spider-Man #539-543. The story takes place immediately after Marvel's Civil War event and depicts what happened to Spider-Man, Mary Jane Watson, and Aunt May during and after the event. The story is about Spider-Man's anger and determination to find Aunt May's shooter. Hence, he wears the black suit, modeled after the Venom symbiote, to emphasize his humorless aggression. He is often seen in action without his mask on, as well, showing his rage and thirst for vengeance.

There are no secret identities in the mcu, at least not so far.

We'll see.
There are no secret identites....that we know of. The legislation could have all the secret identity folks, like Daredevil, pop out of nowhere. And it's not solely about secret identites. It's about heroes being registered.

How did we miss this?

http://screencrush.com/marvel-civil-war-secret-identities-kevin-feige/

During Marvel's major Phase 3 announcement today, the company revealed the official title of the third 'Captain America' film, 'Captain America: Civil War,' thus reiterating that the newest installment would indeed pit Cap against Iron Man and bring Marvel's Civil War storyline to the big screen. But those familiar with that particular story arc might be wondering just how that plot works on the big screen when the superheroes of Marvel's Cinematic Universe don't have secret identities.

During the presentation, Marvel studio head Kevin Feige participated in a Q&A where he was asked how they plan on taking the Civil War story from book to screen without a couple of elements -- namely, in the comic books, the superheroes (Spider-Man included) are forced to register and unmask, revealing their secret identities, which is the cause for the major rift between Iron Man and Captain America. Via /Film:

I don’t want to give too much away, but needless to say, the generalities of the act are the same. Something happens, perhaps it’s cumulative for things that have happened though all of the movies leading up to this point. It has made the governments of the world say “we need to have some oversight of these guys. They need to report to somebody. So it becomes more… it falls under that umbrella, rather than “you have to take off your mask.” It’s not about the secret identity thing, as much as it is about, overall, who reports to who, and who can agree to oversight committee. Because as of now, in Avengers 2, there is no more security council, there is no SHIELD, obviously. Stark is paying for it, Captain America is running it, and things occur that will make governments begin to question.

So there you have it. Over the next few films, we'll be seeing what leads to the cinematic version of the registration act, and how they plan on enacting it. As for whether or not Spider-Man will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Feige was unable to comment on that today, but we're still hopeful.

'Captain America: Civil War' hits theaters on May 6, 2016.

Makes sense. Technically they are Stark's Army. No Government will like that. Now the question is who's going to be where... I see Tony agreeing after A2 and going with the government and Cap being against it after the whole Cap 2 situation

I mean that's how I saw it. The government wants to know who's out there. They'll be more like soldiers instead of vigilantes under the legislation.

We Tony hating now?

Cap aint nothing without the juice. At least Tony is a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Tony has the better super power but he is still a lame. He's such a lame that they drastically changed his character in the movies to make him watchable.

It's about accountability. Feige already said that. Basically who should the heroes report to.

We'll see.

Even if there was Black Widow leaked em all on the internet

I'm down for the Russo brothers directing whatever comes up.. Would love for Russo and gunn to team up if it came down to it, with the need for the cosmic angle for infinite gauntlet story

Hopefully whedon has a change of heart

Everybody has their problems. I'd take a genius with an ego over a man made lab experiment any day.

dont blame the director for the characters stupidity

he wouldnt have even been in avengers if he didnt get saved by a hidden element that his dad left for him in the second movie

Even geniuses don't know EVERYTHING.

true, he was lucky that daddy was there to save him
'Tis what 'tis.

At the end of the day, Steve's life is based on one injection.

Stark has his genius which brings him his money, and even without his money, his genius reins supreme.

Steve should get Erkskine tatted all over his body.

95% of super heros are based on one (insert important life event here)

without his rich parents his life would just be kiss kiss bang bang (better than any iron man movie)
