now that marvel has the rights back to spiderman I hope they focus more on him as the center of the marvel universe and not "Earfs mightiest heroes" as it should be within the Marvel universe. Everything centers around the Amazing Peter Parker...

Stark is the center of this universe. It's going to remain that way until RDJ is done. Based on a recent quote, he's not leaving anytime soon.
 
The last thing you should think about with spiderman is him being an Avenger. A lot of y'all are getting put on these characters through these movies...but I digress

Downey's previous acclaim as an actor combined with the unexpected success of IM had him as the face of the MCU. Now that Marvel is getting some of their major key heroes in film, IM will take a back seat.

But they damn sure threw that "First Avenger" title on there for a bigger box office draw. 2011 majority of people couldn't tell you who the avengers were. Majority of people in 2015 couldn't tell you that Cap wasn't even an original Avenger. Hulk is more Avenger than cap...
 
Watching avengers on fx right now. Still don't like how blowing up the mothership shut down all of the chitauri like they were machines.

This makes no sense. The point is that the title doesn't matter. People are already familiar with Spidey. If anything, having it named that places him at the center of the MCU somewhat.

My point being that marvel should deviate from the "avenger" name now that a lot of these heroes are household names. Spiderman is too big of a hero to be lumped as just another avenger. He's Marvel's biggest hero..

I thought it was corny too but I just started catching up on all Ultimate Marvel comics and basically in the Ultimates when the Chitauri try to take over the world (no help from Loki or an infinity gem and they were much smarter and ruthless) they all shared some sort of hive mind like the Borg. Now there was no mothership where nuking that meant they'd all die but I think that story element was what was lifted and applied to the movie to end the threat of that invading army quickly since Loki was the main villain there.

For those who saw Avengers
Veronica has to be some sort of easter egg. Does anyone know what it/who she is?

So far all I can come up with is the original black widow that was a sorceress or whatever who has nothing to do with this black widow

Veronica Dultry - A mutant that goes by the codename "Dragonfly"

And a bunch of random, short lived marvel characters named veronica

Veronica is this satellite which has the hulkbuster suit out in space. Tony calls for her to send the suit to fight hulk. She also talks to Stark. I'm guessing she replaces Jarvis.
 
Finished seeing it about an hour ago.

Thought it was really good.


Got a few questions regarding a few things in the film.

I'll wait until this coming weekend to ask on here. Don't really like using spoilers.

I felt like they should've used someone else beside Strucker in the film. I don't see why he had to die.
