WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Uhhhhh, bruh on the last page, I said 7.7-7.8 out of 8, fam. An inside, NT movie joint rating scale of 8, not 7.7/10.

And I CLEARLY said, better than 1, loved the film, etc. I just didn't place it above Winter Soldier.

So, maybe comprehend your reading a smidge better before you paragraph me to death.

Got the nerve to complain about somebody else paragraphin you to death

If you read what I said the first time and what I said the second time I said I was confused by his rating system.

The rest of my "paragraphing" wasn't directed to anyone else, if you actually have sense you would have picked that up.

And as I instructed the 2 previous batty man denm, don't bother responding because I won't be responding to you again. END OF STORY

Move on back to the movie.

Back on topic, I enjoy im2 more because that was the first MCU movie I saw and it was there that I realized what was going on. I enjoyed war machine finally getting to shine, so that's my reasoning @nawghtyhare

Hawkeye's newborn got his middle name from Quicksilver in the end. Didn't notice that till the 2nd time seeing this movie. Thought that was pretty cool.

?

I wasn't even referring to you son

It was a jab at CP because everyone knows he loves to write long theses on stuff

But I digress..

People didn't like IM2 because it was more of a intro to sheild than an iron man movie.

I thought it was great, I'll take a movie that builds upon the MCU over a purely solo film every time.

Can't wait for the directors cut of this movie to see thors adventures that lead up to him giving power to vision and ragnarok

Vision having a smarter mouth than Ultron was the perfect way to kill Ultron

Still can't believe some of you guys saying A1 is better than A2. The scene that you waited the whole film in A1 to see was the first 10 mins of A2
eek.gif
A2>>>>>>A1. Fact

I'm probably the only one who wasn't really feeling the Cap/Ultron fight scene. It felt ultra awkward seeing Ultron basically having a fist fight with someone. Then you had BW chasing them on a motorcycle too. Felt like I was watching a Jackie Chan movie

Most of Ultron's fight scenes were kind of a let down tbh. I thought they were saving it all up for the finale since they didn really show it off in the trailers, but he basically got blasted with a family kamehameha and tried to fly away in a jet?

That part was hilarious to me though . When he got hit with the triple beams and tried to reason with them "well, you know, in hindsight..."

Then when Hulk jumped into the jet with him and all you heard was Ultron say "Oh for God's sake!"

I died at that, but I was the only one laughing

I was surprised that didn't get a reaction like the Loki bashing

If only Hulk woulda just smashed Ultron instead of throwing him away Quicksilver might still be alive today.

First one was more fun, simply. Anybody can do SFX better now than before because technology. Someone up thread mentioned how DOFP doesn't have a good shelf-life, I think AOU will be the same and you lot will be looking back and thinking, "eh, it wasn't all that."

I'd be disappointed if that was Wakanda. Not really knowledgeable in Black Panther comics like that but I have a picture of a super high tech city in my head.
Wakanda is a country, not a city. That could well have been a simple mining town rather than BP's home.

The in hindsight line went well. I don't think most people heard the "Oh for God's sake!" it was pretty low. I loved Vision's "Well I was born yesterday." line

Just got back from the movie. It was amazing. Def the best movie in the MCU without a question.

Fav parts:
-Vision holding the hammer
-Vision in general. Thought the did a great job by not making him too human or too robotic. He was perfect.
-Thor. Dude killed it in the fight scenes. I also like how he just dissappears to go on his little personal adventure to find answers then just randomly pops back out of nowhere at the Avengers tower while everyone is at each others throats and awakens Vision lol.
-the group crying code green for Hulk whenever ish gets too real for them.
-and of course the twins

Interested in seeing whats in store next. Especially for Civil War. Whos gonna be on whos side? I'm assuming that Hulk and Thor arent gonna be in it and since we're not getting anymore Hulk films we wont be seeing Banner again until Infity Wars. I hatrd the idea of them having a teenage Spider-Man to begin with and after watching AOU I hate it even more because I feel like all this stuff going on in the MCU is too epic for some dorky 15 yr old high school kid. Do mutants exist in the MCU? I know SW and QS were given their powers in the MCU, But how about actual human mutants who were born with their abilities? Is that where Inhumans comes to play? Inhumans just another word for mutants since Marvel doest own the rights to that word or is that a completely different thing?

IM2 was like IM3, you can see how easily better movies were there to be made.. Should have just made whiplash Crimson Dynamo.. And the story that was told could have been neater..

Talent was there in both movies.. Just the execution in both films wasn't there.. Love pieces of both movies that I'll watch if I see them on

So what exactly was Thor going to Asgard for?

The big black dude that was with Klaue, is he a marvel character?

true, i guess at the time i was just happy to learn more about nick fury and the rest of the marvel universe

the villain and climax are super forgettable

IM3 was just all around forgettable

like literally, they just ignored the ending of that movie and had ironman flying around blasting things to start AOE

My only gripe with this otherwise FANTASTIC movie is that Vision (who is nowhere NEAR a major character in the comics like in this film) was a complete Mary Sue.
The solar gem in his forehead replaced with a got damn INFINITY GEM

HE'S MADE OF VIBRANIUM

HE CAN PICK UP MJOLNIR FOR BASICALLY NO REASON

HE'S JARVIS
And in the end, aside from his last scene with Ultron, his appearance was completely underwhelming. I spent the entire final battle waiting for him to use his density powers, and he used it all but once on a random Ultron bot, and it was a throwaway scene.

The rest of the battle was him flying around and punching. And forehead laser.

That even could have been better incorporated into the movie.. He controls iron legion remotely.. Something happens and he realizes more needs to be done

Maybe he realizes the disadvantage the team has vs Scarlett witch, so that prompts him to try make the iron legion program bigger.. And using tech he doesn't really know which triggers ultron

And tony is forced to come back because more of a human element is needed for his machines.. Then you tie in the whole he is ironman thing from the ending of ironman 3

 @ dude being mad at the out of 8 rating.

A2 is definitely better than the first one. I'll be more thorough in an upcoming post.

Pacquiao got outclassed tonight. So I need to make myself feel better by watching AoU again tomorrow.

So QS is in the Xmen universe and the Avengers one?
Both studios had rights to the character and both decided to use him. QS is played by different actors. Only other distinctions are he can't be called a mutant in the the Marvel movies. Same goes for SW, she just wasn't really used much in the X-Men movie.

Very valid point you bring up with them ignoring the fact that he wanted to stop being iron man. A reach could be he only did it to please pepper but since pepper wasn't around he said FDB and got back with the squad...but let's just call it what it is, a plot hole that was caused by a bad film. Besides we all knew the ending to IM3 was bull ish...

As for Stark's irrational decision making, it's Tony's character at the end of the day but for story purposes, you really have to pay attention to the fact that scarlet witch got in his head. That vision he has motivated him to do whatever he felt was necessary to defend the earth, even if it's questionable. That's going to be his theme for the civil war film. He's already built distrust amongst the team....

Speaking of which, Cap's vision was so awesome. He looked so outta place in that 40's scene. Like he's really the man out of time and they captured it. He had a vision about the dance that he was suppose to meet Agent Carter at?!? :x Haylee Atwell just pops up in the scene like its nothing. Nuts.
