WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

pretty sure my original theory about F4 is going to end up being better than the actual film

Which was?
Yeah bruh, what's your theory?

Basically F4 #587

Johnny uses Nova Flame to hold off an army and allow the team to escape.. He Takes out most of the army but still dies in the process

They bring him back with some weird worms/bugs and he becomes a slave/warrior in the N Zone, leads a prison break of sorts and (i think) defeats Annihilus in the process

I've seen this mentioned other places since i first posted it on here but i came up with this the day of the 2nd trailer released  I doubt they're going to go with anything like this and i don't think it'll be the best story arc but i'm sure it's better than whatever they're planning with Doom... also this all wouldn't be one film lol I was thinking Johnny died in the trailer and came up with most of this stuff for the sequel.

Also Johnny's death leads to Spidey joining the F4 so if this whole Marvel/Fox deal goes through......

Doubt FOX would be smart enough to do a movie based off of Hickman's run.

That would be cool for film though. Not as the first movie that's a reboot though.

Is there truly a way to make a FF film exciting?

All the recent stuff with F4 is pretty good. Tho I dont read regularly. Theyd have to be established before they can even touch Hickman stuff.

Valeria >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I'd love to see the Valieria Richards/Dr Doom relationship on screen.

Truly disliked how Marvel hyped up his death as if he'd no longer be around. Boy was I wrong. The Amazing Spider-Man issue referencing his death was pretty sad.

Then what do you know, he comes back. Smh.

They can use F4 as a catalyst to bring the Fox Universe into the Marvel Universe lol. It can happen...And I wouldn't be surprised if Fox and Marvel made up...It would just be a matter of 'when'.

Marvel/Disney had incentive to "save" Sony because they owned the film merch rights, Fox doesn't have that type of deal with them so there isn't really financial reason to really get involved

if anything that was an incentive NOT to save them since they already have the merch rights. SM is the highest selling merch amongst superheroes

Spidey alone makes $1.3B a year about as much as Bats, Supes, and the Avengers.

The growth potential for Spidey toys is minimal. Even with film rights in the hands of Marvel.

The real reason the Fox Marvel deal wont come to pass is because DoFP already makes Marvel Phase 2 money. They dont need Marvel's help (financially).

Sony needs Marvel's help. On top of the Spidey films making less and less money, They are close to bankruptcy. Sony needs to perform well on all fronts. (Not that 1 film could save them but you get the idea)

sunshineblotters sunshineblotters there was a chance that they were going to ruin that windfall though with their planned slate of films.

Now Marvel/Disney has the chance to make more Spidey/Avengers team up merch based on the films. I think that growth for actually Spider-Man exclusive stuff might not be that high but bundling him with other members of the team can boost them substantially.

You're making it seem like Disney made the deal just out of the kindness of their hearts. I don't know if they've renegotiated to get any of the standalone money and/or Sony gets a piece of CW's profits but I'm going to assume that's not the case since its been said no money was exchanged in the deal. The only reason I could see it benefiting Marvel is them using Spidey's merchandising power as a "power up" for other properties.

And there is limited incentive for both sides in Fox/Marvel (part of the reason we were stupid for believing it at all  ). Marvel is doing fine and Fox is like 3 flops away from needing a boost. They would need F4, Deadpool & Gambit to all flop massively and even that might not be enough because they would still have AoA and Wolverine 3 mixed in between them.

I didn't believe it for a second. My first post about it was how I didn't believe it

Nah I just couldn't figure out what the incentive was. Didn't think about spidey on avengers merch. That will def help the avengers merch since as of right now analyst think Avengers has the most growth potential.

Even if F4 flops I doubt they are doing the X-Men connection straight away so put New Mutants in place of F4. But with all the deadpool hype and AoA and Wolverine 3 there is no way NM will flop.

Funny that she was supposedly the front runner for Lois Lane before Amy Adams jumped in.

If she's playing Clea it'll be an upgrade IMO

At that point, Feige had planned to give Black Panther a stand-alone film sometime in the next few years, but nothing was set in stone about the character's introduction. "We knew we were heading towards a Black Panther movie, but after the second or third time you're in a Civil War meeting, sitting around a table, and someone says, 'Let's bring in a character like Black Panther,' you go, 'It should just be Black Panther.' And that's how that happened."

A decision that major would normally kick off a months-long casting search like the one Marvel recently embarked on to cast its new Spider-Man, but Feige already had a man in mind to play T'Challa, who made his comic-book debut as Black Panther in 1966 and became the first black superhero in American comics. "We just called Chadwick. He was the only choice," said Feige. Boseman learned of the fateful pick on September 25 of last year while in Switzerland, where his James Brown biopic Get On Up was opening the Zurich Film Festival. Said Feige, "He had just done the red carpet, and instead of going into the theater he went back into his car because we had a call scheduled with him, and we said, 'Have you ever heard of this character Black Panther, and do you want to do it?' And he said, 'Yes!' and it was done." No muss, no fuss.
