WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

It's hard to rank in order - my ranking would probably change with my mood - but Ant Man is in the group A movies

Avengers 1
GotG
AoU
Iron Man 1
Ant Man
Captain America 2

Everything else is in group B

I can't believe some people have Cap 2 over Cap 1

I feel like Cap 1 was a complete movie. from history of the character, action, acting.

My list is this.

top 3: In order

Cap 1

Hulk (Ed Norton)

Cap 2.

This is coming from someone who was never really a Captain America fan, Was never in to much of his story lines or the Avengers Storylines for that matter.
(Only really liked cap in Civil War comic and Video games)

But those movies made me a Fan.

Not too many people have Cap 1 over Cap 2.

Cap 2 was really good. Only thing is that it's super serious the whole movie and that kills the fun meter and replay value to me.

Hulk is way in the bottom for me.

that Hulk was great, I think people forget because they relate it to the first terrible one with bana.

Just a standard Hulk story. Wasn't all that great too me. And ole girl who played Betty was just awful

'Ava DuVernay Discusses Meeting With Marvel For 'Black Panther'

“For me, it was a process of trying to figure out, are these people I want to go to bed with? Because it’s really a marriage, and for this, it would be three years. It’d be three years of not doing other things that are important to me. So it was a question of, is this important enough for me to do? At one point, the answer was yes, because I thought there was value in putting that kind of imagery and culture in a worldwide, huge way that they do in a certain way: flying, exciting action, fun, all those things, and yet still be focused on a black man as a hero — that would be pretty revolutionary,”

“What my name is on means something to me — these are my children, this is my art. This is what will live on after I’m gone. So it’s important to me that that be true to who I was in this moment. And if there’s too much compromise, it really wasn’t going to be an Ava DuVernay film.”

Liv was good in it,

The story was good. the hulk scenes were :smokin :smokin
the bad guy.

for a reboot and trying to make people forget about the first hulk it was good.

if we're talking about all the other Marvel direct films.
This was a good one and one of my personal favs. all imo.

i'm surprised by the IH love. Thought pretty much everyone disliked that film

Personally I thought that film was great. If we want to talk about complete stories from beginning to end that film had it down pat. Of course its boosted by the fact that the previous Hulk film was ***, but it was just all around better and good on its own merits as well. Better characterization, better story, better villain, etc. And of course the ending set up the next villain (Which has yet to be followed up on :smh: ) while still leaving room for the first to actually return, something we really haven't seen much of in this franchise.

Avengers, Iron Man 1, Ant Man, and Winter Soldier are my top 4 in no particular order. The fifth spot i'm still not sure of. May very well go to Incredible Hulk.

Chick who played Betsy was pretty bad in that film. Probably the worst actress in the mcu. There's a reason why her career is pretty much dead in the water. Lol

I actually might go see Ant-Man again

Been feeling kind of meh-ish towards the future slate of films lately but this has restored my faith.

Loved Michael Douglas, Rudd was really good but Peña stole the film  Those "my cousin" sequences might be the funniest thing i've seen this year

I've followed a lot of the creative process for this film pretty closely so i could tell what parts were Wright's (Briefcase scene is a big example imo) and what McKay/Rudd added afterwards (the family stuff, entire 3rd act) but none of it was jarring enough to take me out the film, which is a complaint a few people have had online

Evangeline Lilly was good when they actually gave her something to work with. The basic archetype she's playing is inherently flawed and hopefully gets done away with in the near future. She's basically playing the same character as Bryce Dallas in JW :smh:

Laughed when the abandoned Stark building ended up being the New Avengers headquarters

Actually liked how Falcon was used in his short cameo, part of me was waiting for another Avenger to pop up though

Corey Stoll is REALLY good at playing an unlikable ****. His character overall is pretty weak and like a Diet Obidiah Stone. i can't really remember how he was "defeated", did he just die or was he sucked into the Quantum Realm too?

And if the Quantum Realm stuff is a just slice of what to expect with Dr. Strange than I'm sold.

Post Credits discussion

1st scene got really loud applause and noticeable female screams after she says "finally"

now for the other scene, I'm thinking Cap and Falcon find Bucky in Wakanda and BP has him in that contraption, probably torturing him for info (reach, i know)

Will The "Accord" basically be the ones issuing out the Registration Act?

Anyways Civil War looks beautiful, cinematography gonna be A1 :pimp:

It's been so long since I actually sat through the credits, completely forgot just how long it takes to run through all the effects people :smh:

Man, Lame, if this was a Spidey movie, you would've just called out on release day

 I got love for antman too. The only thing keeping me sane is that my boy is manager of a movie theatre and promised me that anytime I'm ready to watch the film any showing with whoever I want to bring will be free. I can't wait :wow:

Yeah, it's ranked pretty low on my list but you'd swear it was the GOAT by how people are still bringing up how much they loved Norton. I've never cared about Banner and never will. I'm cool with Ruffalo playing him for the movies now.

Dont worry they'll start complaining again when they realize she wont get her own movie. Just like BW

^My comment remains unchanged.
once they realize she wont get her own movie they will go full on militant feminazi mode

I am truly interested in seeing wether all these girls complaining about a lack of female superheroes will go see captain marvel and wonder woman.

Ant-Man is the second lowest opening friday in the MCU

Did you guys realize the filter used in the end credit scene? Looks like CW will follow a serious-tone like WS.
