WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

There are millions of Americans of different colors who have lost touch with their roots. I would think it'd be inspiring for them to have a movie about a Marvel character getting back in touch with his heritage.

If people are going to get offended with Marvel going that route, then I don't know what to say. I imagine making the black panther movie would be like walking around eggshells

I rather him be a 100% in touch with his roots from jump

Yeah a quality BP movie > any specific director. A great movie does better for us than anything. Don't misread that as to not use a black director, just whoever is right for the project.

A female and black director or writer would be great.

or at the very least a prominent person in the creative process should be black/ a women.

They would bring an important perspective to the project.

There was one where he was African American, living in the projects and had no idea of his African heritage. I just found it simply incredibly offensive, and told the studio so, which I guess didn’t help me get attached to the film.”

This is perfect example of why, if Marvel doesn't understand the stupidity of that script it's important to bring in people who can.

I def don't want reginald hudlin or johnsigleton but some new voices.

Kathrine Bigelow for captain marvel? military back round to the character would make her an interesting choice.
That's just a perfect example of why the movie wasn't made since it was just a script paid for by one of the producers wanting a treatment for the IP.

Going off Marvel's track record, expect something directly adapted from the comics even if they do an origin movie.

Feige's not dumb enough to trot out a BP raised in the projects with no knowledge of his history after just saying Wakanda would play a big part in the MCU moving forward.
Idris Elba Confirms 'Heimdall' And Tom Hiddleston 'LOKI' In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Before venting about a "torture" experience on Thor: The Dark World, Idris Elba drops the bombshell that he recently filmed scenes for The Avengers sequel… alongside Tom Hiddleston.

Marvel need to smarten up and stop wasting Idris already.

I had a friend suggest maybe Thor sacrifices himself in Ragnarok, Mjölnir falls to earth and someone else carries it :nerd:

He was guessing Loki does a full 180 and carries it in IWs or Donald Blake gets officially introduced

tbh I wouldn't be shocked if Marvel went this route

I read that there could be a situation in which Thor "dies" and goes to hell, but he fights his way out or whatever. I'd rather that than they actually kill him off because that just won't be smart imo.

With the way hollywood is, we lucky we got a black actor  even tho black males can flourish in hollywood. We still getting white people playing the queen of egypt tho :smh:

The Liz Taylor movie or a more recent one?

I see christian bale is playing moses. WTH?

Ok. So we're talking about the same movie. Thought there was a new movie with Cleopatra in it.

oh my bad. Me being stubborn was making it confusing. ANYWAY...

Someone posted this on tumblr and I was like okay.

Could the Avengers: Age of Ultron Mystery Woman Be Avengers AI’s Monica Chang?

Could Nick Fury have an ex-wife in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

And if so, could she be part of Avengers: Age of Ultron?

Korean actress Claudia Kim will be playing an as-yet-unidentified character who is apparently fairly close to The Avengers in Avengers: Age of Ultron; one close enough to be at a party with the characters in their civilian clothes, where nobody else is except Maria Hill and The Avengers.

There’s been a good deal of speculation that her role could be that of someone working close with Stark Industries and The Avengers on AI or cybernetics. To that end, we wondered a bit about of Avengers AI fame.

Avengers AI is one of the handful of comics that spun out of the events of Marvel’s Age of Ultronstoryline. While it has little in common with the film, that seems worth at least considering.

Chang herself was created in the Ultimate Comics universe. She was an American soldier whose life was saved by Nick Fury. The pair ultimately married, but the marriage was short lived as Fury was repeatedly unfaithful and Chang left him. She remained involved with S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Avengers, though, until her death at the hands of the Green Goblin.

There are a number of similarities between Marvel’s The Avengers and The Ultimates, the Ultimate Universe iteration of the characters. Of course, certain elements of upcoming stories are very clearly based on “Earth 616” stories like Civil War.

It’s in the 616 universe that Chang — a Korean surname — is a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s AI field team, published as Avengers AI.

According to the Marvel Wiki, “She was tasked with the interrogation of Hank Pym after the virus with which he destroyed Ultron evolved into the A.I. known as Dimitrios, and started mounting cyberattacks against secure military and intelligence targets. She ordered Hank Pym to help her destroy this new threat, for which Pym created a new team of Avengers: the Avengers A.I.”

It’s worth noting that a variation on that might gel with rumors that the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron would see Tony Stark reeling from his responsibility in the creation of Ultron and Captain America splitting off a splinter group of Avengers ahead of Captain America: Civil War.

It would also fit with the rumors circulating that Kim’s character is involved with the Ultron creation and/or response.

I'm reading these early Avenger comics, and man Tony was awful in his early run. In this and his solo issues.

Ok. So we're talking about the same movie. Thought there was a new movie with Cleopatra in it.

Not Cleopatra. It's Tuya. But still the queen of Egypt
Goldshifteh Farahani is playing Neferati even tho this is before Islamist took over northern Africa. IDC tho. Blacks, Latins, and Middle Easterners are the same to me. Anyone who knows people fresh off the boat from South America, Africa, and the middle east knows why

Kang has always been an Avengers villain. Pretty sure Marvel owns him. His first appearance as Kang was in the Avengers.

Rama-Tut though might be part of F4 but so what? That's just another white guy pretending to be an Egyptian pharoah that tortures Apocalypse for a while and then gets beaten by the F4.
