I'd imagine this will be done in no time. I don't see any huge amounts of cgi being needed. They gon have to make the first trailer magical to make this interesting for me.

But it is 13 hours. And if Purple man will indeed be Purple, 6 hours of makeup every day wont help for the episodes he's going to be in.

It doesnt even sound like Marvel or Netflix is completely sure itll be out by the end of the year. October was being very generous.

EDIT: I doubt Daredevil will be less cgi heavy. If it is it will be by a miniscule amount. That started filming July and it is coming out April. That's 9 months. End of October is around 9 months

Spiderman might not be necessarily done at Sony... But you never know how the new regime might feel about doing things. Maybe they'll be more open about partnering up with Disney/Marvel this time around.

Word is that Sony was playing too much hardball with Disney and Disney decided it was too much effort so they just completely dropped negotiations.

There have been conflicting reports.

According to this report from Hollywood Reporter, even though she is stepping down, she is starting a new production thing within the studio and taking Spiderman with her.

As often is the case with ousted studio heads, Pascal will launch a major new production venture at the studio. Pascal, whose deal was up in March, will transition to the new venture in May. As part of the deal, she will be a producer on the new Ghostbusters film as well as future Amazing Spider-Man outings (former Columbia Pictures president Matt Tolmach also segued to the role of Spider-Man producer after he exited his post).

While over at Variety, they kind of imply that someone else will handle the franchise.

Pascal will remain in place through May, at which point she will segue to a producing deal at Sony. Besides Belgrad, other possible replacements from within are former Fox studio chief Tom Rothman, who runs TriStar Pictures; and Columbia Pictures production president Michael De Luca, who ran New Line during the 1990s.

It’s probable that Sony Pictures chairman-CEO Michael Lynton will be averse to tinkering with projects being developed by Rothman and Jeff Robinov’s Studio 8.

In the end I think she is just stepping down as head of Sony but will still get to produce the franchise.

The way I see it Marvel could've easily went a different way and made Daredevil a movie instead of a series if they really wanted to sub in somebody for their lack of Spidey.
