WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

I hate Renner but always loved Hawkeye, Maybe that's why you guys want the character dead, because the actor has always been so 1-dimensional...but Clint the character was always pretty awesome, specially in the animated series, dude was the heart of the team and saved them all on multiple occasions, not to mention he's human...
I don't even dislike Renner  I mean I know he's not all that good of an actor but he doesn't invoke any feelings when I see him in most movies.

I'm not sure which cartoon you're referring to but I remember the 90s one wasn't helping his case much. Just about everybody on that Avengers squad was annoying. Hawkeye especially.

I just don't care for Hawkeye the character so it makes it easier to send shots. Awesome isn't a word I associate him with and if we're talking about human heroes there's still a bunch I'd prefer instead of him.
This just seems like a taste things.

Personally I'm not one to care about the relative power levels of characters or Hawkeye being able to hang being a normal human with a bow and arrow. I couldn't care less, I just chalk that up to "comics!". It's easy for me to suspend my disbelief in the service of a good story/ concept.

I don't even understand why people would hate hawkeye in the last movie he didn't have any lines, he didn't have a character. He was just shooting arrows and mind controlled for half the film.
I don't think anybody actually hates him. That wouldn't make sense. They just don't like lames and it's fun to make fun of him. As we all know it is fun to make jokes about lames.

I don't hate Renner. I even like Hawkeye - at least how he's depicted in the cartoons and the comics.

Renner's version of Hawkeye is pretty bland in A1. Sounds like they changed that up for the sequel.

Either way, Hawkeye is an easy target. It's just a running joke most like to keep up.

If someone is saying hawkeye has the best line of the series, what is currently the best line someone has had?
It's what I've been saying. I didn't know we or somebody was suppose to be keeping track of stuff like that
An exhausted Joss Whedon was putting the finishing touches on Avengers: Age of Ultron just a few weeks ago when he spoke with Entertainment Weekly for their current magazine issue. And among things they discussed was the fact that he will not be directing nor writing the third and fourth installments, Avengers: Infinity War - Part I and Part II. “Every movie I have ever made has been an ensemble piece of increasingly enormous proportions,” Joss Whedon told EW while sitting next to Marvel Sudios honcho Kevin Feige. “That many balls in the air, it’s only going to get bigger with Infinity War. I’m not going to be able to give it what I would need to. It’s a young man’s game.”

While doing an impression of Al Pacino in The Godfather, Kevin Feige said to Whedon, “Just when you think you’re out, you get pulled back in.” Which prompted the Age of Ultron director to point his finger at the Marvel producer, and quip: “That’s the other reason I’m not making a third one.”
I don't fully get that second part. Is he saying that Godfather quote is why he stopped or is he implying he's already on board to direct another franchise anyway?

Basically, I mean I Black Widow can be argued as being just as useless. I remember early on ppl joking on her too especially when there was talk of a solo movie for her.

In comparison though, at least she uses guns as opposed to a bow and arrow
So the IW movies are going to get the Cap 2 writers

Idk... Whenever there was a joke in Cap 2 it wasn't that funny
We really looking for the IW movies to be funny?

Just reading some of the lines some of yall posted and the fact Avengers has been on FX like everyday, a lot of those lines were corny lines you had to look past.

It's the Godfather quote, most believe the 3rd one is the worst of the franchise while 1 & 2 were just so much better. I think Whedon is saying he doesn't want to have a Godfather 3 on his resume or he doesn't want his Avengers IW to be the Godfather 3 of the franchise?

Obviously reading too much into that.

Whedon is tired. He's probably grown even more tired of the whole studio breathing down his neck (Feige and the executives) as they'll probably expect even more out of the next 2 films.

He's right to leave it to the Russo brothers.

I didn't fully catch that cuz IW is basically 2 more movies not really a long 3rd movie.

Never realized how meta that Godfather quote can be about 3rd installment though

Ehh, not saying I want IW to be a comedy, but if there are jokes in the movie, I'm going to want it to be funny. It doesn't even have to be that many jokes. Just whatever is in there, I'd like for it to hit its mark.

To me, A1 was funny. Cap2 tried to be funny at times, but it fell flat. A2, not sure yet if it's going to be as funny as the first, but I'd like to think it will be.

Best lines goes to RDJ easily

Steve Rogers: Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?

Tony Stark: Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. **Followed by a Romanov shrug

Steve Rogers: I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you.

Tony Stark: I think I would just cut the wire.

Steve Rogers: Always a way out. You know, you may not be a threat, but you'd better stop pretending to be a hero.

Tony Stark: A hero? Like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle.

Stark basically recreated ether and condensed it to 30 seconds.

All these reviews saying "it's not as fun" "it's too dark" are fine with me. Empire is not as fun as A New Hope but it's certainly a better film. It's nice that Whedon didn't make the same film twice.

I agree with this completely, especially since Empire is the only one I like.

Obviously reading too much into that.

I've been sayin this. People on the internet acting like Joss personally owes them

Joss is right about one thing. It's going to be a lot of balls to juggle for the IW movies. What if it's impossible for anyone to handle that many balls? Pause.

Come on, we know stark got the best lines.. Like:

Loki: How will your friends have time for me, when they're so busy fighting you?
[taps Stark with his scepter, but the Arc Reactor stops the effect]
Loki: [tries again, with no success] This usually works...
Tony Stark: Well, performance issues, it's not uncommon. One out of five...

But the single greatest line of the movie:
"Puny God"

Tony Stark: [to Bruce Banner] You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed?

Tony Stark: Yeah, that was just previews. This is - this is opening night. And Loki, he's a full-tilt diva, right? He wants flowers, he wants parades. He wants a monument built to the skies with his name plastered...
[Stark pauses; he and Rogers look at each other knowingly]
Tony Stark: Sonofa*****!

Tony Stark: Uh, Shakespeare in The Park? Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?

Tony Stark: [Covering his eye, looks around] How does Fury even see these?
Maria Hill: He turns.
Tony Stark: Sounds exhausting.

You would think Cap would be worthy of the Mjonoir. Dude is the epitome of integrity and selflessness. Sometimes it seems Thor is too prideful. I'm just talking..

My theory? Cap is worthy but when he tries to pick up mjonir at the table, it's for the wrong reasons.

Cap will probably pick up the hammer during Infinity War, my guess

can the hammer only have one owner? like if cap is able to pick it up can he and thor pass it around mid battle or will thor lose his powers?

^Depends on what version of thor. Earlier versions of him would lose his powers if he is seperatism from the hammer for 60 secs.. The marvel universe version of him is based off that version which is why he "throws" the hammer while still attached to it to fly.

More modern versions of him doesn't need the hammer to retain his powers. People who are worthy, like Beta Ray Bill, can wrestle the hammer out of his hand and he doesn't lose his powers.

Betta Ray Bill need to be in Thor 3.

Just cast Jay Z as him. No need for motion capture.
