maybe because Feige said they are looking to cast a teenage Spidey? Whic is on topic by the way since this is the MCU thread.

“In terms of the age of an actor we’ll eventually to cast, I don’t know. In terms of the age of what we believe Peter Parker is, I’d say 15-16 is right,” Feige told Collider. “We want to play with Spider-Man in the high school years because frankly there’ve been five Spider-Man films and the amazing thing about it is, even though there’ve been five Spider-Man films, there are so many things from the comics that haven’t been done yet.

“Not just characters or villains or supporting characters, but sides to his character. The most obvious being the ‘young, doesn’t quite fit in’ kid before his powers, and then the fella that puts on a mask and swings around and fights bad guys and doesn’t shut up, which is something we want to play with and we’re excited about.”

I would be ok with Spidey being young if he wasn't gonna be in the Avengers. Shouldn't Avengers Spidey be more mature? They shoulda just stuck with Garfield. Idk why they felt the need to recast/reboot Spider-Man again smh

If rumors were to be believed, he supposedly burned some bridges with Sony execs plus I am guessing Marvel wants to separate themselves from the past Spidey films (to avoid further confusion if it isn't canon and so they aren't associated with the disliked films) and their vision has a much younger Peter. I mean we've all been begging for Marvel to get Spidey and now that our wishes has been granted, we just got to let Marvel do what they do best.

yea, but this ENTIRE topic has now become a bunch of grown men arguing over which 15 yo boy they "prefer" for Spider-man

I don't know any of these kids, so it don't bother me who they decide to cast.

If the topic was a discussion of whether they should go with a teenage or adult Spider-man fine. It makes sense to talk about it

but the direction it has gone just got too weird for me

anyhow, whatever floats yall boat...I came in here for Avengers news, but whatever

If you aren't comfortable then you can just lay low and skim through topics.

If there is a big news, it'll be on the title. Again, this is the MCU thread and not just the Avengers anymore so get used to other topics being discussed.

I mean it's you that are thinking of something completely different about kids, most are just talking about who they think will fit the teenage Spiderman role.

And don't try and turn it around like we are the ones with problems by saying 'whatever floats our boats" when you're the one who brings up the creepy vibe. Who ever smelt dealt it!

Were suspect for saying X's acting skills are better than Y's?

I'll say it again, Jojen Reed for spidey if we have to go with a prepubescent spidey and watch his high school drama

anyway, what's the likelihood that Black Panther gets a much reduced role in CW because of Spideys inclusion?

They said they'd skip the origin story.

99.99999999%

The only thing that saves his role is that spidey is too young to unmask himself so that part of the story will be written for BP.
