I read different a few weeks back, they said Thanos has a bigger role/longer screentime in A2 than GotG.

I don't think it guarantees that. $44 for a weekend isn't really great and it can make very little money after it's opening considering GotG is next then TMNT. I'd wait on how much it make total after it is all said and done.
Plus with the Hunger Games success along with Divergent and other chick led comedy films Bridesmaids and the Heat would be enough to greenlit BW.
The thing is Marvel films easily go over $100m in budget and most of those other films I mentioned outside of Catching Fire are around $40m or less to make. I think if they can make BW for less than $100m, they can easily capitalize on it and make bank.

We wanted Ronan to be the bad guy. We wanted to focus in the creation of the guardians team itself, so we didn’t want to spend too much time with Thanos, but we wanted to showcase that there’s a guy behind the guy behind the guy behind the guy. The emperor in Empire Strikes Back to Darth Vader. So we wanted to see a little bit more of him, see him and hear him for the first time. And just to get, which is one of my favorite shots in the whole movie. Him leaning back in his throne and smirking, which he does on every cover of every comic, which is cool.

Either way, she earned budget back. A BW film would do that easily just beacuse of it being related to Marvel. They could make a BW movie on a decent budget As far as story goes, have her go to Russia and look for the Winter Soldier or whatever.

Disagree with most of Osh's points on why a BP film won't be made.
There's enough classic to great material for BP to make a movie on. Whether that be Stan's stuff or Jack's. As far as an all black cast, no. That's just for the origin part. The Christopher Priest run of BP is a perfect example where the movie could easily have an international cast. As far as personality, depending on supporting cast T'Challa could be the straight man to his jokey sidekick/ambassador's aid like in the aforementioned run.
The cost of the movie is a moot point. Marvel pushes it with enough promo it'll double it's budget regardless and I don't think a BP movie would need a budget as big as GotG. Probably a little more than w/e the Antman budget is.

A BP origin story is too easy. Have it about Vibranium. Like how Cap 2 had some points connected with real world problems, they could do something similar with with BP along the lines on how they're having all their vibranium taken from them and all that. Simple.

I think they should go with the version of her that's a human underneath the garb but pale faced. The skeleton look combined with her being referred to as death might be too
