WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

^I really don't know where to jump back in with comics. Feel like I just have to get into reading the trades.

How was Infinity and Spider-Verse?

Almost all comics are gonna be renumbered from Issue 1 after Secret Wars

I liked Infinity but a lot of people had problems with it. Spider-Verse was cool

I think where Gunn and Marvel will finally clash is on GotG crossing over with everybody else during Infinity War. Gunn sounds content to keep GotG separate right now. I'm assuming execs are going to want to put as many characters as possible into those movies, maybe only excluding the TV characters if you're reading between the lines of Feige's interviews
It's not like Gunn is being forced to direct the IW movies and he doesn't really have any say on what happens with the GotG characters in those movies. At best he'll be involved with some story beats when pre-production gets to that stage

Gunn can go right back to making GotG pretty much separate from what happens on Earth with only few references to and maybe some aftermath dealing with the IW movies in GotG3.
Iron man 3 only did a billion because of riding the high off of the original avengers movie. It's seriously the worst money I've ever spent in my life going to see that in theaters. That movie is the worst
Agree with the first part but I really don't see how IM3 is worse than IM2. The villain was disappointing from beginning to end.

Come to think of it, Civil War will likely do the same thing in riding off of avengers 2. Ant-man will probably be a good movie, but let's be real. Mass public won't be paying attention to it
Basically but if Ant-Man was in AOU like I've said before then the movie would've got a crazy bump in gross amount.

Uh oh!

GET READY FOR THAT RED WOLF MOVIE IN PHASE 4!!!!

ALSO CHRIS EVANS IS GONNA SPEND HOURS IN MAKE-UP PLAYING OLD MAN ROGERS!!!!

:smh:  :rolleyes

That suggestion doesn't even make sense. That person dead *** combined one of the Annihilation events (I think it was called Conquest with Ultron) and added in Hulk for w/e reason.
This guy just doesn't wanna reveal this mystery character, does he?

But it's Adam Warlock, right? I'm only guessing that because he already said no to Nova and I can't think of any other legit supporting characters for the GOTG
I hope it's somebody really left field.

It could be a Space Knight that looks a lot like Rom but is different to avoid being sued (surprisingly tons of ppl that were in to comics at that time period love Rom).

Maxam maybe (black guy from the future trying to change the past - a Badoon invasion I think - using an infinity gem that was in the Infinity Watch book. Believe it or not I don't think he was a Cable and Bishop knock off, may be wrong though  )

Wraith - some Kree dude with an alien suit

Gunn knows he's probably like the only guy helming a franchise where he can keep fans on their toes. The Guardians haven't had huge classic runs in the comics, don't have many memorable stories so you can be guessing forever for a subtitle especially when he straight up shoots down the most recent memorable ones.

Technically yes (as the character called Him I think) but that's not how it works for movie rights anyway.

The Inhumans and Black Panther (among others) both first appeared in F4 and Marvel owns their movie rights.

What's the story behind Red Wolf? I've never heard of him.

What's the story behind Red Wolf? I've never heard of him.
70s character if I remember right that has a pet wolf that rolls with him. I've barely remember dude or read many stories with him in it. So I'd have to throw you the link on him

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Wolf_(comics)

If you want to know more about the current push for him though, read the Secret Wars tie-in comic 1872 (which is set in the Old West)

According to LR, Jason Statham is rumored for Bullseye. Electra and Mr Fear are expected to show up. Mysterio as well.

No way jason statham is bullseye. Dude too big for a tv show no?
Not really. Plus he seems like the type that would do something like the DD netflix series cuz of the praise and attention it garnered. I think it comes down to some big movie stars recognizing streaming services not being a step down but the next big thing (Kevin Spacey).

As for being too big, he hasn't done any tv I'm aware of but he never did get over that wall of being a full fledged action star. What was his prime? or incredible run of great movies? He's well known for sure but his movies haven't gotten that consistent success despite constantly returning to his bread and butter. Best efforts I guess would be the Transporter movies on a mainstream level? While his better works tend to be the the Euro focused/Brit films. I'd almost say some of his recent action films (while I liked them cuz I'm just a fan) have dipped a bit in quality. Now he's the other guy in Expendables which acknowledges the pitch being washed up action stars having another go at it.

Would be cool to see him as Bullseye though. He'd be a completely believable and recognizable face beating the **** out of DD. Just gotta see if he could get as crazy and sinister as the character warrants (Colin had the right idea the writing just went overboard).

You got it bro! You'll probably find yourself to be in the crapper a little longer as well!! Haha enjoy!!

***everyone else, PM ME!!!

Statham already stated multiple times he isn't a fan of superhero films:

"It's all about money, kids pay money to go and see them," the Expendables actor said. "The fascination is superheroes, it's what people want to go and see but you wouldn't get me rushing to the cinema to see those. I like the old-fashioned type of film. They've never offered me a part in one of those and I don't think the shoes would fit. Or the cape wouldn't fit!"

And here is again taking a jab at it and even mentioning Marvel specifically:

"A lot of the modern sort of action movies I see, you know, Marvel comic sort of things, I just think, any guy can do it. I have no ambition. I mean, I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and then put her in a greenscreen, and then have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it. I mean, they’re relying on stunt doubles, and greenscreen, and $200 million budget, it’s all CGI-created. So to me, that is not authentic. I’m inspired by old, real star guys that can really do it."

hes not really getting great roles. unless hes gonna be going Transporter sequels the rest of his career. hed be a good villain for Marvel.

Statham already got replaced (or he may have said no to the part) as the Transporter, next film isn't starring him anymore.
