WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

No one ever said rousey over blunt..
I didn't say you said that.

You made it sound like it was Blunt or nobody else though. Like if Blunt doesn't get the role might as well try Rousey. I'm saying no to that. Dozens of better actual stresses out there fit for the role.

Tatum is and forever will be trash. .
I dont care that steve carrell carried a movie for him he was decent in. Still trash.
Can't agree with this.

Also there's a distinction to be made here. There are good actors and then there are movie stars.

Most movie stars helm franchises and are responsible for blockbusters. They're not the best actors but they're consistently good enough to play the roles they do. Vin Diesel can be Dom in FF and then go be Riddick and then slide in a comedy as the straight man and then do something like this movie of his about to come out. Movie stars have likable enough personalities to be movie stars more so than being really impressive actors.

Then there's the side thing where really good actors who have the potential to be even better and great forego that to be movie stars like Will Smith for example and he stayed in that lane and excelled to be one of the best movie stars in the game during his run but that's not what this really is about.

Both Vin and Will took years beforehand to learn their craft even though they're not great actors. Fresh Prince prepared Will for his movie star career if only from a planning standpoint. Along with his show in '90 he had 3 movies he wet his beak with; Six Degrees of Separation showing his real acting potential 5 years in to his movie acting career. His 4th was Bad Boys in '95 which showed Hollywood he had even more potential to be a big movie star. After that it was a wrap. He's making hit movies every year. Vin was a nobody for decades. He literally became a movie star in his late 30s/40s and is stretching that out in to his 50s before that he was hustling in lots of movies. Son probably has made a bunch of connections and has vast knowledge of how the business works and what it takes to maximize his opportunity as a person of color.

Channing Tatum is just your typical white male lead that's good looking that was probably a model and then went to acting school. He's good at comedy clearly. He started off in bit roles and then got that push in a whole bunch of rom coms and straight up romance/drama flicks (I think those are mostly bad unless there's a great actor director attached). He's well liked and he's gonna be around. He has a good enough sense of humor and has some talent. You may think he's sucks completely but that's subjective more than anything. So I can understand you saying give Rousey a chance but I'm saying right now no. You can't compare her to Tatum even if you think he sucks.

Right now Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has more of a rep as an actor than Rousey. Nobody was suggesting him for Black Panther though.

Zik youre like the biggest critic in here....lol u of all people should know the saying about opinions (i still got luv for ya ) but hot damn homie.
Yall act like CM. Is the face of the marvel universe. Yes she will have the first solo female lead role (which again will be heavily supported by other cameos. And possibly not even start out as her being CM.)
Hell i doubt there are many pwople outside of the comic circle even know who she is. ...
There are atleast 10+ female charachters way more popular than her.
So again aside from die hards. I seriously doubt anyone would mind if it was rousey.

As far as antman goes. A lot of us expected a movie about hank pym not scott lang...i could never see rudd as pym but he was great as lang
As far as CM, you just don't get it and that's fine. These movies aint for everybody. Some are more hyped for BP or Inhumans, some don't care for those and are more hyped for CM or Thor (for some reason). To me Ant-Man was the pleasant surprise since it's been rumored and then confirmed for so long. More like a movie that they fit in there rather than it being a part of the plan all along. To me CM is not that at all.

It isn't a movie that Marvel is just doing to do. They're not gonna half *** it. It really isn't some agenda thing either. The first solo female superhero for the MCU is important. They're gonna go hard to make this a huge success from the script to director to the score/soundtrack to the cast and especially the main character. This isn't some place holding throwaway movie.

Just because a lot of ppl or everybody might not know who the character is that's irrelevant to Marvel's effort in making a good movie. This isn't the time to say well not many ppl are hyped for CM so lets get this T-grade celeb wannabe actress to play the role cuz it doesn't really matter. That reasoning you're using makes no sense.

Your opinion that there are 10+ female characters more popular is irrelevant.

This idea that nobody will mind Rousey in the role is ridiculous. CM is a high priority for Marvel. It's not about what ppl who don't care will accept. Those ppl don't even matter.

That backshot magazine pose.

I won't lie, if she presented herself to me like that, I would take the shot as long as she agrees not to flip me over and put me in an armbar

If Rousey lost about 15 more pounds and got with a really good acting coach I honestly think it would be great. She already has all the female activist backing. Her as Captain Marvel would be really smart.....eh what do I know I still want Blake Lively

Disney giving all their marketing to Star Wars for the rest of the year it seems. I'm glad they've learned their lesson from A2. Don't show us anything...

Hard work beats talent when talent dont work hard.
(Nice quote sort irrelevant but f it)

If rousey lost 15 lbs.........really??? Damn yall got high standards

After twelve films, and Ant-Man's recent release in China, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has reached a major milestone by crossing the $9 billion mark worldwide, the first major film franchise to do so.

They'll be over 15 billion at the least by the time of Inhumans is about to come out. Right after IW2 :pimp:

The problem with that quote is the assumption that talent won't also work hard.

There's a bunch of talented actresses eligible for the CM role who will work hard to get it.

Anthony Mackie just said about  why it doesnt matter for a black director for Black Panther movie ""I don’t think it’s important at all. As a director your job is to tell a story. You know, they didn’t get a horse to direct Seabiscuit!"

I hate him more and more every time he opens his mouth

Agreed. But a part of me wishes she did?

Does that even make sense?
