most ov the events have abrupt, unsatisfying endings. they do this because each event continues its story in the various solo stories and of course marvel wants to keep readers buying comics. read the fallen son cap america story arc, its pretty much a continuation of the main civil war plot.

my hope is that cap 3 is just the begining of the civil war storyline and the next 5 phase 3 movies are all individual aspects on the major storyline that is civil war

crazy how much money marvel is making for them to pay RDJ 40 mil to be in someone elses movie

You don't do a movie to a mini series that spiderman is predominant in, release a civil war picture to coincide with a rerelease/ retelling/ continuation of the comic or whatever it will be with spiderman on the picture and then not include him in the movies.

Of course you do, Age of Ultrons main character was Wolverine and here we are with an AoU movie.

not getting in this debate.. but they are doing an ultron movie without hank Pym.. or at least without him in this movie (since the ant-man movie comes later.. but who knows maybe Michael douglas does appear in AOU)

I think Tony knowing about Hydra is going to play a big part in this too..

I can also see Tony completely freaking out after all of this and just turning all his **** over to the Government (Hydra) and working with them to create a version of the registration act.

It's funny that Marvel is basically like **** the leaks we'll tell you exactly where we're going

All movies do that. Hollywood has creative accounring policies. The bigger the loss the less tax paid. Wouldnt be surprised if they booked avatar as a loss. I actually know a hollywood accountant. He has confirmed to me some very succesful movies are booked as losses.

I keep forgetting about Strange cuz the actor for him aint official yet. I'm hyped but I thought I would've got something in NYCC

If Strange is in it then it'd be okay to have Thor and Hulk in it to make things equal.

Since Cap 3 is the start, is it safe to say the Avengers team we know of today will be fragmented or not on so friendly terms? I remember there being a rumor how A3 won't feature this current team. I wonder how Thanos fits into everything.

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but why is this a surprise either way?

He got $50M for Avengers. This move is genius for him considering how a) Cap 2 did well and b) RDJ will be in it, which means more $. He probably saw how much Avengers made and wanted a piece of the box office profits.

I'd be doing the same if I were in his spot. He wasn't exactly looked upon positively 10 years ago. Kudos to his agent/team.

was originally just going to have to do 3 weeks of shooting and wasn't going to make that much so his people started lobbying for more screen time, Disney head ordered for him to be removed from the Script then Feige got him to change his mind and meet RDJ's demands dude has so much juice at Marvel

I think Evans only gets like 5 million for Cap 3 and bonuses if it hits certain box office numbers lol

I hope it does happen exactly like that by the way. A4 would shatter box office records so as long as the comic book movie bubble hasn't already burst by then.

I don't know about that. They're not stretching Thanos to A4. What I've read and believe is going to happen is A2 is the start of the rift with the team, Cap 3 starts the fallout between Cap & Tony, and A3 will include the new roster, the old team, and the guardians vs Thanos, which may be split into two films.

Well he could be lying, and he doesn't have to be. Remember he doesn't have all the gems/stones yet, and the films before A3 could place them in his possession. And in A3, he could be coming to Earth for the last one or whatever. A3 could have the heroe's fighting against each other and all that, and once Thanos comes down and does his thing, they all band together and defeat him for the time being. So far the pattern is each Avengers movie coming three years after the one before it. I don't think they can keep people waiting until 2021 to see Thanos wreak havoc. He would literally have to kill damn near everyone to make it worth it.
