WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Yea, I remember that conversation. But has it been said at any point in the mcu that she was a spy for Russia?

She hints but its never directly said.

She talks about having skills and using them for the wrong thing, how Clint was sent to kill her but he didn't and brought her in to SHIELD.

Ahh icic. One of the more interesting Avengers (maybe I'm just saying that cuz she's hot) and yet we know very little about her background, in the MCU anyway. Lol

I think they also downplay the russian spy part in the MCU. I don't think she's ever said she was a Russian spy, just a Shield spy, and that her background was Russian.

Y'all can correct me if I'm wrong.

Watch The Avengers again.

She mentions that she's russian... well was.

She's a spy, I would think being able to fit in anywhere is a very valuable skill to have. And all these British actors are making me think its easy to have an American accent

Yup.. When she's talking to loki..

she said "regimes fall everyday, I tend not to weep to over that.. I'm Russian.. Or I was"

Part of the reason Mariah Hill shouldnt have switched positions with Nick Fury Jr. :x

Samuel L Jackson is dope tho so I dont really complain. But they couldve made both characters relevant.

All this BW made me think of how nonexistant women are in the MCU.

Huh?

Thor 2 ended with Jane Foster, a woman, coming up with a solution to end the chaos of the alignment
Iron Man 3 ended with Pepper Potts, a woman, killing the main villain
Captain America 2 ended with Romanov, a woman, playing in intricate role in helping bring down the carriers

Perhaps our definitions of nonexistent differ.

They didn't really switch positions.

Nick was always in charge. Maria was created recently and even after that she was woking under him.

It's only until Nick left she got to run things and it doesn't end any better for her.

He said Jr though, didn't even know about that. Or is that just what they call black Nick Fury?

Nobody cares about Jane or Pepper....Nobody

Well then I don't know what he's talking about then.

Nick Fury Jr. works under Maria Hill within SHIELD in the comics. They never switched positions. He literally just started and was created like 4 years ago. He's Jr. cuz he's Nick's Sr. son. Not to be confused with the black Nick Fury in the ultimate universe.

Blotters started talking about Samuel L and the movies next so I assumed he was talking about the movies.

Benedict Cumberbatch To Play ‘Doctor Strange’[

View media item 1235114

EXCLUSIVE: Marvel has finally found its Doctor Strange. I’m hearing Benedict Cumberbatch is the studio’s choice for the superhero pic, and negotiations are about to begin. The news comes after talks with Joaquin Phoenix around the time of Comic-Con went south, and Marvel went back to the drawing board. With names like Jared Leto and Tom Hardy also in the mix, this is obviously a coveted role. I expect this deal to make.

Cool. I guess. Don't think he fits but he's a good enough actor that I'll enjoy him.

Now I'm just thinking of all his Sherlock eps/movies and contrasting/comparing it to his more serious role in Star Trek. Trying to figure out his approach on Strange.

works for me..

I was curious about Joaquin in the role.. was also was intrigued by clive owen in the role

They're going to have to get somebody lively to play Wong just for contrast because Cumberbatch tends to be pretty dry. Not dead or wooden, but dry.

He can be lively but he comes like a bit of a crazy unpredictable person when he does like in Sherlock.

So glad its him he was my top choice. tho id prefer him for Maximus this will do much more for his career. On of my faves right now so i want morr exposure for him!
