Marvel and Emily Blunt have allegedly stayed in contact and she was the first choice for BW so that wouldn't surprise me.. Pike from Gone Girl wouldn't be a bad choice imo but she might be too old now

In order for Marvel to push a female superhero in the title role she has to be sexy. Carol Danvers has to be sexy. Emily Blunt isn't sexy.

Lupita needs to signed up for Shiri in the BP movie.

Elizabeth Olsen would've been a good Captain Marvel but with her already being SW I'd choose Yvonne Strahovski, she just seems like a good fit. I could also get on board with either Margot Robbie, Emily Blunt or even Katee Sackhoff.
