Look at the 8 Harry Potter movies. Every movie had a different director except for the first two. They rotated their directors without a problem, but there would've been a hitch if they tried to do the same with the core trio.

i hope that's not gonna be a thing... i like them how far apart they are now... makes it more special

the Justice League movie is broken up and 2 years apart

i don't mind the story being split up if it means we'll avoid a TDKR cluster ****

I think the Russo rumors of directing A3 was when everyone assumed Civil War was going to continue to A3 and Thanos was on A4 or even A5.

Russo did well with the political/spy Cap2 film and they'd probably do great in Cap3 too with a similar theme but when it comes to a bigger team and more fantastical theme, I think Whedon is the guy to do it. I'd probably rather Gunn do IW than the Russos.

yea.. gunn was the rumor if I remember correctly.. and i think that was before GOTG was released too

I think Joss is done directing Avengers movies tbh.. He'll get the nice comfy Producer credit, probably still write the films but i'm not too sure he'll be directing.

They've been rumors for a while that this has been overwhelming for him.. Think the Russo's would be perfect replacements.

Smarten up lamella, Marvel could do a Howard the Duck movie and it'd make money. Squirrel Girl could get a solo and it'll make half a billion. Marvel printing their own money at this point.
