More Sony hacks, Pascal on Spidey being rented out to Marvel.



Amy Pascal said in an email to producer Matt Tolmach at one point, questioning how Spider-Man might fit into Marvel's longterm plans.


"I love introducing pp [Peter Parker] in cap but I know it comes with so many things since we won't give them what they want what will we give them? We can say it's a cameo but I'll bet it's more and will involve some of his world and it will be peter and spidey right. if we have spiderman in cap 3. what is our fee and our back end. need script approval, casting approval of sm and aunt may and consultation of mays house in queens and any other spiderman locations we may need in future movies. also approval of new spiderman costume> how long is he is the movie? how closely does it follow the civil war story line? does the world find out who spiderman is? are there any other characters from the spiderman universe they are using? can we use one of the marvel characters in our future spiderman movies not produced by marvel.can we use cap to set up ss? can drew work with the russos to get this done? are we renting him out?"

would we have to dismantle ss?

can drew goddard write the sm original?

who would direct the sm movie?

what do we do with matt tolmach and avi?

they can not put spidey in future spiderman movies or team ups.

we need to keep animation rights for a theatrical release spiderman move to be directed by lord and miller. we need to be able to make spiderman movies after this movie we need to be able to make the girl team up movie

is it possible to put spidey in worlds without other characters once we is with iron man and cap

can we have him in cap and then 6 months later in ss

we have a right to co finance any movie that spiderman is in and get a production credit

we get to make future movies with our characters and theirs in a correlative way but we dont need their approval. marvel produces a bunch of spiderman movies for sony the way they do for disney....all spiderman dominent movie are financed and marketed by us event though disney will have the merch on everything

we can put the marvel and even disney logo on ours if we can put sony on theirs

Haven't seen anyone even speculate on whether we'd see Cap, Fury or anyone else from the MCU appear in Spider-Man solo flicks. At least have Banner pop up :lol:

Those questions she has shows that they didn't go too deep into the specifics of the deal.

The Russo's should definitely be involved as the creative middle men for the MCU and whatever Sony would be building imo
 
It's not about putting a dent in your pocket. All digital media suffers rim piracy. People do not feel like going to the movies that often. AnAnd I'm sure there are a lot of people making less than you.

Also I am positive there are plenty people who make less than you. Im not sure how many people are willing to go to the movies that often, but hollywood keeps *****ing about piracy so it cant be that many, and it aint about how much you get paid. Denying that consumer taste changes is nonsensical.

These leaks are pretty interesting. So many details to cover + generate a profit.

If anything though, it makes Sony look really bad. Did the talks of Spiderman cameo in Cap 3 start before or after the leaks?

Michael Fassbender's popularity ... and penis size ... were topics of conversation in the latest round of emails released by the Sony hackers ... revealing one big time producer who's feeling inadequate.

This most recent batch of emails revolves around discussion for the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, which originally was supposed to be produced by Sony (it's now with Universal).

When the topic of Fassbender taking the lead role came up, somehow producer Michael De Luca brought up Fassbender's infamous manhood, saying he "makes you feel bad to have normal sized male genitalia."

Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin knocked Fassbender down a notch in another email to producer Scott Rudin, writing, "I don't know who Michael Fassbender is and the rest of the world isn't going to care."

In another series of emails, "Community" star Joel McHale wrote to a Sony exec asking for a discount on a TV ("Community" is a Sony show).

Pascal asked Rudin for advice before going to an Obama fundraiser hosted by DreamWorks Animation head Jeffrey Katzenberg, particularly what she should ask the President “at this stupid Jeffrey breakfast.”

“Would he like to finance some movies,” responded Rudin.

“I doubt it. Should I ask him if he liked DJANGO?” said Pascal, with Rudin replying “12 YEARS.”

“Or the butler. Or think like a man?” continued Pascal, who is a major donor for the Democratic party and President Obama.

“Ride-along. I bet he likes Kevin Hart,” said Rudin.

On the same day that the Sony Pictures hack exposed an email exchange between company co-chair Amy Pascal and movie producer Scott Rudin calling Angelina Jolie a "spoiled brat," the movie star came face to face with Pascal at a Hollywood event. Let's just say things seemed, um, frosty.
