Anyone has that updated timeline?

Surprised he who must not be named hasn't said anything in this thread

Banned?

So what are the two immediate movies after CW? No longer Strange and BP?

*edit
I saw some dates a couple pages back but if somebody has all the new dates in a timeline leading up to IW, that'd be cool, please

I've read through the article on SHH, and as much as I like the idea of having Spidey in the MCU, this could be potential mess. Worst of all, it looks like Andrew Garfield is completely out of the fold now. Plus, at this point, even though Spidey plays an integral role in Civil War, it seems like it'll be too late to develop his character prior to CA3.

He needs no development. Introduce, then spin him off. Not every character needs an origin. Plus we already know it.

And didn't Marvel say they're tired with Origin films anyway? The best thing they can do is to just jump into Spidey in his Prime and just go on from there.

So is there any word that Spidey will definitely be shoe-horned in a post credit scene in AoU?

Oh I won't reply much to him.

He knows the deal. I told him what it was pgs ago in this thread or some other thread. He knows EXACTLY why I said he was wrong. This announcement won't change things unless I missed the part of the announcement where anniversary poster was all apart of the "plan"

Wanted to give this thread time to enjoy the news before I ultimately chimed in...........

I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO

....with a wall full of I told you so's. There are particulars who will have to come in this thread and unfortunate for them will have to hear not only civil war talk but spiderman talk constantly, two things that not only I begged for, I guaranteed would happen. I was called many names and had my reasons shamed and ridiculed....but the day came  NT welcome to the lamekilla thread!!!!!!!

In all seriousness great day for Marvel and Sony. All of the behind the scenes negotiating finally came to an even ground and from everything I had knew of, I was told that Andrew was at one point speaking to Marvel which showed that there was hope for Marvel to even pick up where ASM2 left off which I was ultimately campaigning for because I adore Andrew Garfield (really nice person in real life) but I guess those talks lead to an amicable separation. Sony put a bad taste in Garfield's mouth. Though he will be missed I have the utmost confidence in Marvel casting a new and more youthful Peter. (Gyllenhaal is a great actor but too old to be Peter) As for Civil War, what we are about to see on screen is going to be a real spectacle. DC was just on a firestorm campaign of right moves and hype for BvS but with Spiderman now officially joining the MCU and Civil War, I don't think DC is ready to enter the shared cinematic world. I mean, the iron spider?! On film?!?! Here's to hoping the theatrical poster for Civil War looks similar to the civil war rerelease comic poster...

I'm legit more excited for civil war than I am for age of ultron

That feeling of anticipation that I had before the first Avengers movie is back

Gyllenhaal would be a great choice for Peter Parker imo. And I think it would send a message that Sony is going in a new direction but wants to show that its important by giving to role to an established actor and not a relatively "unknown" actor.

During Civil War Parker isn't the goofy teenager we know from the last two movies. He is already married to Mary Jane, taking care of Aunt May and pretty much a man trying to take care of his family when he takes the job with Tony. To me Peter is in his mid to late 20's at that time and I think Gyllenhaal still fits that role and can pull it off.

Regardless who they hire, I just hope that its Peter Parker in these movies and not Miles Morales. Even tho I don't think Marvel Studios would be that dumb now that they can put Spidey in their movies. 8)

Now that I got to look at the new timeline in its entirety, the placement of BP doesn't make sense.

It's sandwiched in between the two Infinity War movies and Captain Marvel.

Makes more sense to be made closer to the AoU and CW movie

almost forgot about the twins

they seem like they could join up with stark since they are pretty much homeless and stark can let them crash at his building

The twins hate America for bombing their country continously, as many teens from places America has started conflicts with do. And they hate Superheroes. It would make sense for them to join team stark.

cant, i ride or die with my boy steve :pimp:

hope tony and friends build robot thor like in the comics and the real thor shows up to stop it
That stupid robot thor was one of the weakest parts of Civil War and I dont see his appeal.

all i want is to have tony join the GoTG for a movie

blow starlords mind by giving him an ipod mini and beats by dr dre
Nah. When Star Lord comes to earth there has to be a scene where he discovers that earth has an internet  (I assume all those alien civilizations have one too)

In all seriously I'm curious on how they will address just what the hell spidey qas doing during the whole attack on new york in avengers.

He couldve been saving lives but not have joined the team. Or he couldve been preoccupied, captured. Not sure why it needs to be addressed. Who cares, just run with it.

I was going to say the same thing. IW wouldnt flow continuously into BP. I bet the BP script is going through some ridiculous changes as well as Civil War (assuming spidey will be in Civil War)

I'm late on the party, but is best to say my homie LameKilla deserves a well earned apology from all of us nay-sayers or did it happen already....

LIFE IS GREAT!

Young Peter Parker is always best.

Making him older with a Jack Gyllenhal casting would be a critical mistake.

LIFE IS GREAT!

A lot of them are hiding, BigJ, Zik, Osh Kosh Bosh, sunshine blotters, they're hurting right now

But infinity wars will be pushed back....and black panthers role will be much more detailed than we think in the MCU.........

Still skeptical since Sony is still involved in some shape or way.

Like I told my friend, fox needs to let go of the XMen and Sony needs to let go of SM (completely). I have no hope for ghost rider or punisher anymore.

I disagree about older Spidey being a mistake.

After two iterations of teenage Spidey, an older Spidey, maybe married with a kid on the way or whatever would be a breath of fresh air.

Also have to take into account the average age of everyone on the Avengers, or better yet the average age of every hero Marvel has been casting, miniseries and GotG included.
