WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Comics sales don't got a damn thing to do with the movies  Thinking it does is extremely flawed reasoning. Something that isn't a success or "sustainable" in one medium doesn't dictate how it will do in another medium.

obviously.

It's not about sales it's just my way of saying the Moon Knight character is bad. It's essentially a batman rip off with a costume that I can't imagine working on screen

Why anyone would be interested in making a moon knight film is beyond me.

and all those other charcters you mentioned are either.

a. have had long sucessfull influential runs in the past and recent past.
b. have been major characters in major marvel events/teams/storylines
c. hit key demographics.
So you got bad taste. That's all you gotta say. I aint know I was suppose to assume something you didn't say and know what you actually meant but at least you know that it's obvious that reasoning is flawed.

Fronting like Moon Knight didn't have a long successful run is comical though.

Point me to the long successful influential run Cap Marvel or Inhumans had though. I know Cap aint never been a major character critical to many if any Marvel event. Same goes for the Inhumans save this past decade but I wouldn't even call those events major to what Marvel was doing at the time. So then we're left with key demographic and if you're gonna say women for Cap Marvel then you can mention any female superhero from Marvel and they'd qualify. Inhumans don't even got a key demographic that I'm aware of. So what we really talking about? No need to make up stuff to justify why you dislike one character.

The amount of chances Moon Knight has gotten is neck and neck with the Black Panther and hell ppl call BP a Batman knockoff too.

A high majority of characters have shared traits with other characters. That argument is tired.

And who said anything about a film?

1. I have bad taste huh okay. whatever man.

I'm sure the reason they keep changing his origin and back story is because the character is so strong conceptually and thematically.

It's just my humble opinion that a white jewish guy praying to an Egyptian god called "Khonshu" won't work in a film.

its just my humble opinion that a deranged narcissist with multiple personality disorders doesn't fit in with the MCU

2. Inhumans are Marvels mutant repalcement.

3. You know as well as I that Marvel has positioned Captain Marvel as their flagship female super hero.

3. Black Panther hasn't been a very successful character and is a batman send up. but again hits key demographics.

I'd be surprised if they discontinue it. Agent Carter was a nice way to fill in the gap during the annual winter hiatus

They should have gave it like 2 more episodes. The only problem with the show is that it could've fleshed out Faustus a bit more so he didn't feel like a worthy villain.

Listen you talked about Moon Knight not being able to keep with a comic and compared that to him having a good movie that'll make money basically.

I pointed out why that's a dumb argument. You agree that it's dumb and said you said that to mean you don't like Mook Knight and don't see how he'd have a good movie because of his costume and that he's a Batman knockoff

Then you brought up other bull **** (pushing the goal posts back) to try and justify why you don't think he should have a movie.

I really don't even care about all that. Your entire reply comes down to you not liking Moon Knight.

I won't bother stating the clear differences between him and Batman or why his costume doesn't matter one ******* bit or would harm his appeal if he had a movie or a tv show for that matter. Like you said it's beyond you. I don't need to bring up why Moon Knight not being a major character in a Marvel event is irrelevant or if he targets a key demographic or state facts about his comic runs.

You simply don't like Moon Knight. It's your opinion. It's clear facts don't matter to ou.

I'm sure the reason they keep changing his origin and back story is because the character is so strong conceptually and thematically.
:smh: Do you read the comics or just skim through them?

Only part of MK that gets played with is whether or not he crazy, has brain damage, has multiple personality disorder, or is telling the truth about everything. It's really no different than the Joker in that aspect.

When was his back story or origin changed in the MU?; Mercenary in Egypt, dying, pyramid, Khonshu. That's literally never been changed or retconned. If you don't know about it, don't talk about it.
It's just my humble opinion that a white jewish guy praying to an Egyptian god called "Khonshu" won't work in a film.
If you don't like something at all I don't see how you'd be a choice to even give an opinion on how the movie would be done.
its just my humble opinion that a deranged narcissist with multiple personality disorders doesn't fit in with the MCU
Fits just as well as Deadpool and the Punisher would but then again it's my humble opinion you don't have that firm a grasp of what fits and what doesn't fit in Marvel let alone the MCU.

2. Inhumans are Marvels mutant repalcement.
They don't match any of the 3 things you just made up though. They hit no key demographic, they have not influential runs, and they aren't major players in Marvel events as of right now.

3. You know as well as I that Marvel has positioned Captain Marvel as their flagship female super hero.
That doesn't change the fact that you just made up those 3 things especially when the 3rd one is arbitrary based on which female superhero you want to prop up.
3. Black Panther hasn't been a very successful character and is a batman send up. but again hits key demographics.
 :smh: C'mon son. You start off admitting why you don't like MK which consists of a lot of same ol same ol. You call him a Batman knockoff. I simply mentioned that many call BP the same and he's been as unsuccessful as MK since their inceptions both, respectively. Now you're telling me they're just doing a BP movie cuz he's black.

What's your excuse for Dr. Strange? Barely in Marvel events (hell sometimes they make sure to give a reason why he isn't around), doesn't hit a key demographic unless straight white males have been in a drought in MCU movies, and has a worse comic run than MK and BP unless you're counting Defenders comics (whose title is being taken and used for street level heroes). He hasn't had a comic in decades. Keep in mind his movie is coming out before BP or Cap Marvel or Inhumans.

The truth of the matter is the Marvel studios clearly have their own plan on what Marvel characters they choose to include in the MCU. Feige really likes Dr. Strange and really wants to explore the magic side of the MCU. That's not opinion or some made up qualification. I'm going off quotes. He's mentioned Strange before any signs of a movie. Similar goes for the Inhumans. Fans think it's cuz they need a X-Men replacement it's specifically more about mutants and the ability to have a random super powered person pop up whether it be friend or foe. Not cuz of those 3 things you just made up to exclude MK from the movies

read an article that they are not renewing Agent Carter for a second season.

I am filled with sadness. Peggy and Dottie were so nice to look at.

Rumors. Read more like clickbait to me.
They originally announced and promoted it as a mini right? Wanted to make more use of Haley right?

I think it was only until the middle and some success ratings wise that they may have switched up cuz the finale really feels like a S2 is coming.

Still tight she threw away Steve's blood like that :smh: I wanted an after credit scene of some dude under the bridge just collecting it

Your ability to misunderstand and misstate things that I said so that you can waste words spewing intellectually masturbatory walls of text is second to none.

I don't have time to waste so I'll keep it short.

1. There is my personal taste and my opinion about the objective factors that make Moon Knight something that would be difficult to translate to the types of films marvel produces. I'm not moving goal posts I'm explicating the key differences between Moon Knight and Inhumans/CM/BP which are sepreate from my personal taste.

2. I didn't make up anything, I just told you three obvious things that make MK different than the others. Moon Knight is a d list character you know this and I know this.

3. Didn't say he got film ONLY because he was black. You don't think that BP being one of marvel's most recognizable BLACK character isn't a big factor in him getting a film? Don't be naive.

4. Sometimes he worships the Egyptian god/sometimes he doesn't/some times he's crazy some times he's not/the Bendis run made him a movie producer and ditched the Egyptian stuff. These are central aspects of the character that change complete from one volume to the next. The character is stale and silly and writers are constantly trying to revamp it.

5. By key "events/story lines/" I mean some characters often entry ways into important parts of marvel universe. Guardians = cosmic, Dr Strange = magic. Moon Knigh isn't associated with anything important.

6. Joker is a villain/ the punsher movies have been failures commercially and artistically so I don't see how they function as support moon knight viability.

I liked Bendis moon knight and the ellis moon knight but I don't think it fits in the world marvel is building.

*shrugs*

Also you Zik sound like comic book guy with your "I know more about comics, do you read them or skim through them" sanctimony. Spare us all.

I know about moon knight I just don't agree.

Hey maybe they will make a Moon Knight film maybe they won't, I don't see a clear path to make it work. So ill leave it at that.

I'll probably give myself a little BTTF marathon when I get the chance.

It's a shame that we don't have flying cars by now like the series predicted smh

The thing is you straight up lied and tried to pass it off as a fact. Sort of how when you made up those 3 arbitrary things for why Marvel studios is making movies. That on top of the fact that you straight up say you don't like Moon Knight, I'm led to assume you do not read much MK if any at all. Of course I'd question if you ever read one of his comics.

I been came to that conclusion though.
Your ability to misunderstand and misstate things that I said so that you can waste words spewing intellectually masturbatory walls of text is second to none.
I don't think I misunderstood or misstate what you're saying. You just seem to be struggling to explain yourself without posting bull **** to back it up or completely change the meaning of posts to then post what you actually meant like how this started  You've consistently tried to pass lies off as fact and made up things to justify your dislike of a comic character's potential for a movie. Save the clever descriptions of my replies though.

Like I've said you'd be better off saying I don't like Moon Knight and don't see how his movie would be good or make money.

I'm not moving goal posts I'm explicating the key differences between Moon Knight and Inhumans/CM/BP which are sepreate from my personal taste.
You don't like MK. Of course you wouldn't be able to see a way to translate any of his comics to tv or film.

I don't know why you made up those 3 things as if they're fact when it comes to who is chosen by Marvel studios to be apart of the MCU and specifically to make a movie about.

The key differences between the aforementioned are reasons for why MK shouldn't have a movie though. As if that has been what Marvel has been following for every movie they've made.
2. I didn't make up anything
Yes you did.

3. Didn't say he got film ONLY because he was black. You don't think that BP being one of marvel's most recognizable BLACK character isn't a big factor in him getting a film? Don't be naive.
Bruh lets not front on #3 of your made up qualifications for phase 2 and 3 of MCU movies. There are not many black Marvel superheroes in the first place.

I'm not being naive about this at all.
Moon Knight is rich. He has his hands in many pots. The movie producer angle was just an excuse to get him to LA. Same way Waid had DD reveal himself again which forced him to be unable to practice law in NYC and go back to SanFran again.

You're nitpicking story motives and trying to pretend that's changing MK's origin  :smh: If you read Bendis run, MK was crazy throughout that run, this time struggling with the personalities of Cap, Wolverine, and Spider-Man in his head.

You're either purposely being dense so I can explain this or you don't know what you're talking about. If you're just gonna ignore what I'm saying and stick to your view of a character you don't like lets not take it any further.

All I see here is a misunderstanding by you (apparently for every volume of MK) and then you stating your opinion based off of that misunderstanding.

5. By key "events/story lines/" I mean some characters often entry ways into important parts of marvel universe. Guardians = cosmic, Dr Strange = magic. Moon Knigh isn't associated with anything important.
 Key events and story lines to you mean genres cuz that's what you apparently mean. At least you're more clear now instead of not making much sense.

Then we're clear on the Inhumans not matching any of your made up 3 things right? If you're gonna say they're cosmic then MK is magic/street level.

6. Joker is a villain/ the punsher movies have been failures commercially and artistically so I don't see how they function as support moon knight viability.
Joker being a villain is irrelevant to what I'm talking about when I say certain aspects of MK's status quo revolving around being crazy or worshiping Khonshu or having brain damage now or multiple personalities. All I simply compared was Joker's always changing origin to MK's changing status quo. Once again MK's origin has never changed.

You seem to be lost on what I'm talking about though. What do the Punisher movies being failures commercially have to do with anything? Did I even say Moon Knight should have a movie and it will be successful? I simply questioned your piss poor argument for why MK shouldn't get a movie. Then you changed it to something else and when I called that out you made up something else. Now when I bring up the Punisher you tell me about his movie sales.
